Pakistan's history has always been seen through the Muslim League's lens. Historian Dr Mubarak Ali says that most of Muslim League leaders had migrated from India and didn't have their roots in the masses and, therefore, they'd accuse anyone who they considered as threat of treason. Two of these 'traitors' are Khyber Pakhtunkhwa's Khana Abdul Ghaffar Khan aka Bacha Khan and Sindh's GM Syed.
In this interview with Zafar Khizer, Dr Mubarak Ali is explaining the politics of these two nationalist politicians and why they were accused of being traitors

Bacha khan was an icon who not only won vote of right for all in general and pakhtuns in particular. He dedicated his whole property for social well-being of common man, launched first Pashto newspaper, established schools and propagated urge for non violence and interfaith harmony. He was a saint , a selfless humanist bigger than Mandela but today Urdu media has totally neglected his contributions. Thank you for this vlog.

Please stop re-writing history. Bacha Khan's Khudai Khidmatgars joined hands with Congress Party which had opposed granting any political protection to the provinces where Muslims were in majority. Their members refused to swear allegiance to Pakistan and did not attend the flag-raising ceremony in Peshawar on 14th August 1947. Bacha Khan asked not to be buried in Pakistan and was laid to rest in Afghanistan instead. His nephew, Yunus Khan who was also his secretary, left Pakistan to join the Indian Foreign Service and died in India claiming he had 'come home'.
The case of G. M Syed was different. He had been the President of Sind Muslim League and its council. At the time of the elections in 1946, he had developed differences with some of the candidates nominated by the Muslim League in Sind and chose to field his own candidates in opposition, all of whom lost. It was a personal grudge against Jinnah and the Muslim League that he nurtured until his death. To the best of my memory, Jinnah never called him a 'traitor'.

We must listen to everybody & try to understand their perspective also, only & only than we'll be able to find the commonalities between us & them & will be able to bring some workable solutions otherwise opposition for the sake of opposition will bring disasters.
