do the shoulder pads cover the collarbone area where the bottom of your helmet would hit your collarbone in a crash? common way to break collarbones is from helmet. looking for a chest protector that has padding in that spot.
Question on CE certification. RMATV website and this video say back is CE certified and shows the CE tag on the protector, but the Alpinestars website shows this under the protection tab: • Back Protector: En 1621-2:2014 Level 1 • Chest Protector: EN 1621-3:2018 Level 1. ... So is the front CE certified or not? There's no tag CE tag in front, but their website references both codes.
Is the back removable? I'm an Electric Unicycle rider and since there isn't gear made for EUCs, we have to mix and match between Motocross/motorcycle gear. We go about 40-50 mph and need protection. I have armor protection for back, elbows, and shoulder, but am looking for some impact armor for the front. What chest gear (ce rated) would you recommend? Thanks. BTW, I've been watching all of your video reviews on roost guards and since I'm not a biker and know nothing about how these fit in street clothes, I don't know which is the best for me. 😊
Hi, which one is more low profile between the A4 max and the A1 plus? I need a protection for mountain biking. Is the back protection the same? Many thanks for your videos, they are super professional and very well explained
Hi Mrestebanito. They are both very similar in the front but the A10 has a larger back protector. So overall, the A-1 plus is the lower profile option. - Chase
Both are really good but I'd probably go with the Race Frame SB. They have a new version coming very soon that uses D30 armor. It's what I use and I really like it - Chase
The medium/large should be a great fit for you! Alpinestars also has a size chart available on their website you can check out here: www.alpinestars.com/products/a-4-max-roost-guard
According to Alpinestars sizing guide, at 6'1" you should try a XL/XXL. There are also 2 other measurements you can make to get the most accurate size. There is a size guide on Alpinestars website you can check out here: www.alpinestars.com/products/a-4-max-roost-guard

Good for snowboarding?
Wish you would have shown how the neck brace fits at the rear. That's the biggest complaint it how the two integrate at the back.

Is it compatible with a leatt neck brace ?
can you do a vs with this vs the fox with d30?

Sorry, we didn't have that bullet point on our site but yes, the chest is CE level 1. Thank you.
Hello. Do this model matches with a low back belt?
Would the Fox Racing Raceframe Impact D30 Chest Protector give better front protection?
They are very similar in front protection.

If you want a removable back, I would get the A-1 plus, the Troy Lee Rocky Fight, or the Fox Raceframe. - Chase
Chase is the rib protection soft or hard and about how thick is it? Thanks!
It's a soft padding. I'm not sure how thick, maybe 1/4 inch? - Chase
@@rmatvmc Thanks appreciate the response

Whats the difference between the a-1 and a-4? Which would fit better if I’m 5’5. I want to wear it under jersey
The A4 has a larger back piece. Personally, I like the A-1 - Chase
@@rmatvmc when are you having it on stock again?
@@DonutFilmsCo We have plenty of them in stock right now. I'd also check out the Fox Raceframe and the TLD rockfight.
@@rmatvmc I'll check those for sure, on your website it appears to me that you don't have stock of the regular a-1roost deflector tho

Is it Leatt brace compatable?
Yes, you could wear a Leatt with this. - Chase
Thanks. I'm sold 😊
@@klemenlesnjak4306 Nice! Let us know how you like it when you get it! Have fun out there. - Chase

Wait people don't wear a normal shirt under their Jersey, maybe it's because I live in Iceland so it's colder?
I usually do and I live in Maryland where it’s hot as hell during the summer, I wear it for a little more protection
If even remotely warm I wear directly on skin. In fall and winter I wear a shirt under.
I am 5,8 should I buy the small or medium? My waist is 34. Thank you.
