I was considering going to Rutherford this morning but wasnt sure how the weather would have turned out so I slept in. I was looking into getting a fierce but after seeing this... I may opt for the Battle II or III for a surf setup.... Hello from Lafayette
Fierce are good reels. My oldest reel is a 6000 size Fierce II that I have had for over 5 years. The only ones that I have had problems with are the Live Liner version. I understand how seeing a reel brake like that will make you second guess buying one, so I'll say choose witch one you trust and can afford.
Go for the Penn Battle series man, buy once, cry once. I've had my two battles for going on 10 years, just hose 'em down, no grease, no nothing, just water.
