I'm 57, been to over 450 concerts, growing up in Washington state, we would either see shows in Seattle or up in Vancouver British Columbia. This band, is one if the bands that is better live than on record, killer live act, underrated band in my opinion, always worth the money to see them on stage

Fantastic Music, just not much of a LIVE act.
In 1981/1982 I saw April Wine at Detroit's Cobo Arena, they were fantastic.
April Wine performed a song live that used a Steel Triangle, I don't know the name of the song, however it blew everyone away at the concert. Does anyone knows what song I'm trying to think of?

Heard the sad news today of the passing of Myles Goodwyn, December 3, 2023. So, thought I'd take a trip down memory lane and reminisce with a band that played the backdrop of my youth. April Wine was one of the hardest working bands especially of the 70's and 80's, blasting hit after hit after hit, and they just kept coming. IMHO they didn't get the recognition they deserved. April Wine was one of the best live acts to see and Myles was one of those multi-talented singer/songwriter/guitarist/producer people that stood out like no other. This band is so awesome it kills me. I am so thankful for their countless hits. So proud to be Canadian! RIP Myles Goodwin!

But there's only one way to see Myles is to get to heaven as John 14:6 says: "For I am (Jesus) the way, the truth and the life and NO one comes to the FATHER except through ME. @@Darin.Pearson hey, oh wow. I sure wish I had a copy of that. Last I heard about lorence, he moved out to Ontario, Canada, and was fighting our government or the Ontario provincial government about a creek that was running through his property. He put up barricades, the whole nine yards. I'm sure if you Google him, the story will come up. Can't believe you have the record, wow, keep in great condition. He sure had a gift of writing music thats for sure 👍

BTO APRIL WINE TROOPER PRISM Those Bands got the Shit end of the stick when it came to fame and fortune! They were incredible excellent song writers and as cool as any group the USA ever had and then some!! "Future Tense" ROCKS! So do so many of their great songs!

These were just a group of fun loving wide-eyed Canadian kids who happened to be talented musicians who loved making great music for fans all over the world and they never forgot their roots or let success go to their heads. Myles and the gang made fond memories and positive impacts on the lives of millions of young people in the 70s and 80s and fortunately their music will live on for future generations to enjoy. Thanks for the music and the memories!

I got to see April Wine on the POWER PLAY tour in 1982 or 1983 in Kansas City. Eddie Money opened. I thought they were an underrated band that should have been as big in the States as other AOR giants like Styx, Foreigner, Journey, and REO Speedwagon (to name a few). Their albums were consistently good with very little 'filler.' Glad I got to see April Wine in their prime! 👍
