Your videos are so informative and I find myself watching even the longest ones trying to get as much info as possible. Definitely the top ESO channel. 👏
Never mind all those things you mentioned, if your going to solo with an companion, there is only Isabel, It makes an better tank than many player tanks I have dungeons with, It takes the aggro,, heals itself, whilst I just stand back and melt things from a distance. as for extras they give if you please their special box, then Miri takes the cake, for the extra hidden loot box from chests, the worst is that ginger headed idiot do gooder Bastian, what do you get for his special box, useless potions, and it hates cheese, I love cheese. I have an number of homes with an Bastian exhibit, one where he hangs in an gibbet. one where he is trapped in an cage of stinky Mammoth cheese, but you have the option to free him, and one where he is in an torture device, you can let him live or enclose him in an spiky death your choice.
maybe for base game norm dungeons but even in full purple companion gear she's mid at best...also annoys me how long she takes to taunt something sometimes when a fight starts even though the taunt skill is first on her bar and not on cool down
That was very informative thank you. Been playing for 10 years, but im really casual and a solo player. Never put a thought on compagnion, guess i'll try.
Just do the daily quest (+125 rapport) on a single toon with each companion since rapport is toon specific (until they''re max level and you get the keepsake, after which it no longer matters.) You can see all passives on UESP
I use; Azandar on my arc Bastion on my DK Ember on my khajiit Sometime I use: Mirri for dolmen delve Isobel for wb free roam Sharp for when i need positive feedback They basically there for rp, while maxing rapport. Unless a pawn system is introduced like DD dark arised..
Something I think you didn't emphasize enough. In terms of rapport gains, most of the preferences only give you very small gains. If you want to raise rapport with companions you'll really want to focus on one type of preference which is their dailies. The total list of actions that improve a companion's rapport is overwhelming but those specific daily quests give you such an enormous amount of it that you can focus entirely on those and consistently raise the rapport without issue. Every companion has 2 types of daily quests that give you +125 once a day. Usually one of the dailies they like is part of the same chapter that the companion came with. Compare that to the +1 or +5 gains from other things. It is by an enormous margin the one thing you'll want to pay attention to. I think in your guide, you neglected focusing on the +125 ones specifically.
My companions: Mirri when i need a healer or to farm treasure chest n do antiquities. She is my luck amulet. Azzandar and Isobel: Solo Dungeons and DLC dungeons. For some bosses is better Azzandar and for others Isobel. Ember for thievering with my Khathief. Some times for some specific bosses in base vet dungeons. Lizzard-o for run with me overland and farming world events. Dolmens, geysers, vents, mirrors. Edit: my gosh i forgot he is my fishing mate. I love you Lizzard-o! 🦈🐬🐋🐳🐟🐠🐡🦐🦞🦀🦑🐙 Bastian: ZOS THIS COMPANION NEEDS A HUGE RESHAPE/REVAMP. My gosh he is less than zero now. I like him so much when he was released.
I love Ember and Sharp. I like Mirri too but not as much as those two. Azander occassionaly rubs me the wrong way but not as much as the moral high ground twins. I'm on the fence about the new companions, their usefulness and most likely I'm not going to splurge on them.
Couple other things to note: 1. Bastian has a perk that buffs heavy attacks by 15% which is great for heavy attack builds. 2. There are 2 good sets to wear with companions (just choose 1 not both) A: Telvanni Efficiency - reduces companions cooldowns by 50% which is great for shields and burst heals. Also if they die, you get 8% cost reduction to abilities and ultimates. Its also craftable and only needs 3 traits learned so you can craft it very early on. B: Pearlescent Ward - its a trial set but even the normal version gives 66% damage mitigation based on the number if party members dead. This includes companions. If you eant to solo a dungeon and your companion keeps dying, put this on, let them die and you have a full time 33% damage mitigation. If someone leaves your group, pull out a companion, let them die and your 3 man party will each get 16.5% damage mitigation.
I play as a tank and Azandar makes a fantastic co-tank/healer. I wear 5 pieces of Telvanni Efficiency to reduce his cooldowns by 50% Gear: Heavy + Quickened, 1-handed weapon + Shield Skills (in this order): * Triptych Physic * Bulwark * Zone of Recuperation * Ritual of Salvation * Shields of Erudition * DO NOT SLOT HIS ULTIMATE If you need him to tank, then swap out Bulwark for his Scathing Rune skill (this is a taunt).
If you don't want them to use their Ultimate and have it slotted, in your Options/Gameplay menu, you can make their Ultimate use manual so only you can make them use their Ultimate, not the Companion. My main interest as a soloer is a Companion that can keep me alive. Azandar, Isobel or Bastian--I'm still not sure who does it best.
I'm really not that interested in the items the Impresario has so I purchase those Companion Commendations from them. I have 19 of the Mages Guild ones stored until the two new Companions arrive.
Tell you how I would update cyrodil I would make the campaigns shorter, as in 4 hour, 8 hour and 24 hour , points scoring would be the decider when time finishes but the aim would be to win the game early for better rewards by becoming emperor ... No need for emp buffs cos once you're emp it's game over and you've won.. Scrolls would also be important by holding your own the number of sieges you can use is affected. Defence scrolls only work on home keeps for each scroll you hold in your defence temple your number of siege is increased , offensive scrolls work same way but this time it's for offensive siege against enemy home keeps. scrolls don't accumulate points only keeps do,
I like Bastion. He's a tank for my templar and gives me that much needed second to adjust in a fight. I have gold jewelry and purple weapons, so he does really well against world bosses and most other mobs I run into. Lol, when he starts ragging me for picking bugs I threaten to put him back in his box. 😁
Azander is my top favourite i like Sharp as well. The old companions are ok but i think Azander and Sharp are way better i also think Zerith and Tanlorin are gonna end up favourites 1 for starters Tanlorin lockpick and 2 Zerith good tank and he’s a Necromancer finally been waiting for this. 😊👍🏾
Isobel has decent game skills. However, I'm not a personal fan since she (he, it, other) has alternative relationships (likes Aurelia and Lyris) and walks with a very peculiar masculine swagger while other female companions have a feminine gait. Kind of evokes the "uncanny valley."
@@adammaysz4324 Lol i hate that he likes tea and dislikes coffee, im a coffee guy! lol but yup those are my 2 companions i have leveled, the new 2 look interesting!

Doing so allows ZOS to get financing at a preferred interest rate from the big funds out there by including dei elements in games which means the company stays profitable since they are not paying conventional rates. We had a female presenting Prince and now a nonbinary companion which isn’t a bad trade off for cheaper funding. If ZOS goes into financial ruin, we all lose, so when you see some mandated woke elements in this game remember it’s helping keep the lights on at ZOS. Running a profitable business isn’t as easy as it looks
Honestly, if a non-essential companion that is not at all important to the story inspired you to leave ESO, then you weren't ever a fan anyway. If you think it's woke, then you forgot the mages guild quest where the elf lady said some non pc stuff lol. I suggest you get over it, just don't use them 🤷🏼♂️
@@LordKojotas I was playing since the beginning of the game but the clear direction the game takes since high Island is a bit concerning.
