I love this series so far would be cool to see like a wooden on track bridge with the track speed mod which has tracks for different speeds have it round 25km/h over the bridge then when you wanna rebuild a newer bridge you could always use the abandoned track mod on that bridge and put the newer bridge next to it to think that the older bridge is like heritage listed. Also welcome back
Hi mate thanks for comment :) It’s good to be back! I’ll see what I can find on the mod store for wooden bridges as I like that idea a lot! As we’ve started in a later time period 25km/h might be too slow already though. I’ll see if I can find a way to have a wooden bridge with a higher speed limit :)
Cheers mate I’ll check them out! Do you always have issues with game crashes due to mods too? It’s one of the things I hope they address if we get a new game. Even if the error just tells you the name of the mod which is causing issues! Thanks for the advice mate!
@GroundedGamer855 depends on the mod. I had issues with the mod that adds bus laybys. Somtimes mods are dependant on others so load order might be an issue
Hi mate, I go through phases with it myself but always end up coming back :) I am originally from just outside stoke mate! I'm now over in Lincolnshire though :) I know Cannock well, I used to work as an industrial heating and gas engineer for Staffs council so did all the schools, hospitals and council offices all around rugely, lichfield, tamworth and cannock :)
@ yeah it is a great game. Ahh ok yeah sounds like you get about a bit. I’m from South Wales originally but moved up here in 2005 but still have the welshy accent. ;-). Anyway, looking forward to the next video and may inspire me to load the game back up at some point.
Haha, there's far worse accent to have mate :) I constantly get ridiculed for saying Look, book and cook as boooook loooook and coooook :) I'm just editing the next episode now actually, hoping it will be out tomorrow :) Fire the game up and have a go :) I'm hoping from the companys hints that there's a new game going to be announced at some point too :)
The best way to get started is to find an iron mine and a coal mind close enough together that they can be served by a single train station. They're almost always close enough together for that; if not, set up a truck line. Build a length of track to a steel mill a medium distance away. Set up a train line and build the longest train you can. Increase the capacity of the rail line to a rate of 800 units per year. Borrow all the money you can and spend it on this. You now have a money printer that will bankroll the rest of your company. Building passenger rail lines between a large city and its nearest towns will also make decent money, but not as much as hauling large amounts of raw materials. It doesn't matter if the train only carries cargo in one direction, as long as it's big and full.
That sounds like it would generate a decent profit. I would have thought that being empty 50% of the time would lose a lot of the profit though? Would I also need to send the steel out to another factory or do you think it would work without a next step? I think I’ve seen it fail due to this sometimes. I think I’ll only start passenger travel once I have two cities receiving goods, then I can link the two to help them grow. Thanks for your comment by the way! Any help is appreciated :)
I'm still pretty new to this game myself but I find cargo trains make a ton of money even if they are empty half way. My most recent save my first trains were for iron/coal, 1-way only, and they made bank. I think only if the distance is too short it might not work as well. Also I always try to do my first trains alongside rivers so it stays flat because the early trains are so slow on hills.
@@soapymargheritaThanks a lot for the advice! Staying by river to keep costs doesn’t sounds like a good plan. I think I’ll take a look at trains in the next episode :)
Hi, thanks for the feedback! This one was a little shorter than my videos usually are as it was an intro with a basic route, as we progress and get into more complex routes the videos will naturally get longer :) If you’re looking for more to watch sooner, check out my other playlists on the channel for some longer videos :) Thanks for watching :)
I’ll see what I can do when I get home from work today :) You have to have a mod installed called Terrain fever then play with the sliders so I’m not sure if it will let me but I’ll try :)
As all trucks have to through the collection point of the well, why put in a "dead end" stop? Is a 'through stop" (as you did with the others) not a better choice so the crossing of the trucks at 14:30 does not happen? I would absolutly put the drop-of point along the main road through Lumley so the trucks don't do the loop they are doing now. You want every product in every town and the drop-of for construction is now way out of the demand. Just a 'think-ahead'.
Great ideas there mate thanks a lot for sharing. You’re right I wasn’t thinking along the lines of every product with the delivery point! I actually thought when the industrial are expands it won’t outgrow the delivery area but I guess on the main road it will service both to a degree :) The through station could work at the oil well, I hadn’t noticed the crossing I’ll have to check that later. Maybe I could just change the terminal on the current stop. I’ll have a play with it :) Edit: I've just got in from work and checked this out, at 14:30 where you suggested the ones crossing the path were only the new vehicles that I had just added to the line coming from the depot. As this is a one off journey and it won't be happening consistently I'm happy with that depot for now :)
Hello again! When you get into steam engines if you can download more American locos i have found a couple of them here's two of them the Pennsylvania Railroad L1s Mikado pack and Pennsylvania Railroad M1 Mountains. It's fine if you can't. Thanks again your US northeast viewer.
Unfortunately I recently lost my game files so I’ve just started building it again now mate, so at the moment I don’t but in the future once I’m happy with the collection, I could make one :)
Had to re-upload this one again from earlier today as it had an issue on my side! All sorted now, I hope you’re excited for a new series :)
Great to see you posting again
Thanks Tony, hope you’re well mate!

I've been using the SNCF/MIDI/PO Sud-Ouest coaches for early game in my current play through.
Cheers mate I’ll check them out!

Ahh that would make sense! Thanks mate :)

Hi mate, this is a game I dip in and out of. Looking forward to the series though. Are you from Stoke? I’m from Cannock and recognise the accent.

Could you posibly upload this map to the workshop? I can't bring it up with the seed you posted here.
I’ll see what I can do when I get home from work today :)

I've just uploaded it to Mod.io, try that :)

Do you have a mod collection?
Unfortunately I recently lost my game files so I’ve just started building it again now mate, so at the moment I don’t but in the future once I’m happy with the collection, I could make one :)
