Please continue with this project of continuously showing the beautiful Italy. In my free time, I love, love watching them! Thank you for bringing Italy so close to me. Please more cooking, history, strolls through those unique medieval towns and how life continues to evolve on the remnants of its great past. I love it!
Hi Celia and Enzo, Oh, the sunset addition is spectacular! I am sharing this with many who missed it here in Los Angeles and those who might want to see it again. It's worth watching many times!
Absolutely love love love your outfit!!! A woman after my own heart. My husband just said we'd seen this episode and I told him no we haven't because i'd remember that gorgeous outfit!!! Love all the history and knowledge I've gained from your videos. Cooked one of Enzo's dishes for dinner tonight.... my husband says, "Thank you Enzo!" ❤
Thank you, both for the lovely comment about us. I am very fond of my Indian scarves! and Enzo is so honoured when members of our community make his recipes.
Hi Enzo and Celia. I started with watching Enzo making lasagne then clicked the link to your farmhouse. Wow what a wonderful view you have of the land and mountains. Enzo the lasagne looked delicious, I could almost smell it. Your stone casa looks beautiful. Franca 💜💜
The house in the area a very beautiful full of character. Lasagna is one of our favourite dishes and we like to have it for lunch in the Enicafè station in Chifenti, a bar restaurant featured in one of our videos ua-cam.com/video/54HLHoKQsD0/v-deo.html
Thank you, a lovely comment again. We are very lucky to know the family who farmed here, wha have become real friends and we love to hear to the stories.
I remember the internal closing method for the windows so it was good to see them explained again. (I once thought all was secure with one window but unbeknown had not firmly placed the wooden bar into its moorings. The storm came and blew it all open so as to allow the rain easier access to the floors and walls. Lesson learnt.) You have kept the basic up/down arrangement of the house which makes sense for you although in my case I created a dining room and kitchen out of the stalls below as my place was much smaller. I now live in a fourteenth century frame with Georgian alterations overlaid by modernity but there are still a few uprights (and probably roof structures) from the earliest century. Houses usually outlive their owners so you are knowingly acting as temporary custodians by retaining much of the original artefacts and arrangement.
Loved seeing and learning more about the house! Always wondered about the holy water vat below the window. Amazing they washed the sheets in water with the ashes from the fire place. Can’t wait to try the eggplant parmigiana! Celia, love your short hair. Meant to mention that a few weeks back! I’ve been looking for one of those old green wine bottles for a long time!!
Thank you for your question. We were very careful when choosing plants for the walls to make sure they wouldn't cause damage. Some plants are 20 years old and didn't cause problems.
Celia and Enzo, this is just beautiful.. and wonderful to see the original features preserved!
Thank you, We have tried to keep the house as original and simple as possible.
Thank you Celia and Enzo for the tour of your beautiful Tuscan casolare, I love the history and traditions you so well describe.
Georgia, thank you for your lovely comment.

I love your story about the windows and your present house sounds like a gem. We are indeed fortunate to be custodians of these homes.

Sueann, than you so much for your lovely comment. I do wish I could give you a damigana for safe keeping.
Stunning

The vines look so lovely on the surface of the stone on your farmhouse, but does it cause damage?
Thank you for your question. We were very careful when choosing plants for the walls to make sure they wouldn't cause damage. Some plants are 20 years old and didn't cause problems.
