      I do too. I've had more fun with these cars than about any other cars I've owned

    Thanks for the video, you are going to save me thousands of dollars by not replacing my crownvic.. Wife place crownvic ice hockey last freeze vs a guard rail and there is almost no damage you can see on the exterior save a bit that will buff out. But now the front left fender interferes with the driver door and you have to enter from the passenger side. I was going to dump the crown vic, but now I am going to fix it up.

    If you jacked up the frame you’d be able to put that wheel well liner in much easier

      That stinks. They're really not that hard to do but you never really want to do one regardless unless you have to.

    I appreciate your video. I bought an auction Vic with a bad passenger fender. My parts car has a perfect replacement due to the fact that both cars came from the same police department. Do you still have the car? Looks good.

      Yes. I just drove it to Killeen Texas over Christmas. 80 the whole way. It's a great car. I did 1013 miles

    Probably shoved the radiator support over a little I'm doing the same job but had to replace the hood , headlights , header panel , bumper cover , condenser and radiator support

      It did. All the pieces are good with the exception of the radiator support, which I do have a new one. I beat it straight with a sledgehammer but I didn't have a support at the time I was putting the car together so I straightened it out the best I could. I do have a new support which is going to go on in the spring and it should actually straighten out the entire car, at least the front end of it

      @@truckerdaveandred6731 I'm doing the same job on my 96 but had to replace nearly everything up front and it's my third time in 16 years the only car I've ever hit a deer with I got my radiator support from Green auto parts in Ohio and it's a Ford original but you'll have a much easier time finding that one since there's plenty of them still around for the 98 to 11s I used to daily drive my 96 and going to put it back on the road it has been to good of a car to let it sit .

      @@drjohnsonhungwell5115 truthfully that white car is probably one of the best running cars I've ever owned and yet Insurance wise, it's completely totaled. I got very fortunate with the parts because I found a guy partying one out in Oklahoma about 2 hours south of where I live. The previous owner's son fell asleep while driving it and drove it into a ditch. The body's actually slightly tweaked in the back. That being said, it's a fantastic car that goes down the road perfectly straight. I've had it on alignment machines and the frame is perfectly straight which I'm thankful for. Since I put it back on the road about a year ago, I've actually put close to 10,000 miles on it driving it all over the country when I'm off work.
      These cars are just a lot of fun. Over Christmas, I'm actually planning on driving it down to the Gulf of Mexico

      @@truckerdaveandred6731 I bought mine from the local sheriff it had 113 ,000 on it looked ok and ran good I gave them 900 for it and have put 183,000 + more on it and it's at 296,000 now still runs good and has good oil pressure ,drives and rides good and gets pretty good mileage , I've been through the front end and replaced the intake manifold a couple years back and the rest is normal maintenance , I do have nicer newer cars but I prefer that Crown Vic for a daily driver they are some of the best cars out there .

      @@drjohnsonhungwell5115 I'm gone so much that I just can't justify buying a new car. What's funny is that both of my Crown Vics are phenomenal cars also. I kind of over paid for the black and white one but the way the markets turned out, it's fine now. I gave $500 for the white one and it had 92,000 miles on it but it hadn't been tagged in three years and was sitting under a tree wrecked. Through a battery in it, it fired right up and we drove it on the trailer.

    Naw these cars don't have nothing holding them fenders I figured all this out the hard way while I was having my first runs with my Lambo door kit lol I ended up using big boxed in wrenchs for my shock supports lol I'm actually shimming mine out now to say the least lol getting it ready for raptor bed liner kit lol

      The whole car's been a real trip. I've still got a couple of pieces I need to put on it, including a new radiator support, but I've been so busy with the other projects that this one is doing daily driver Duty. It's going to get some love here in a couple of weeks.
      I've seen a couple of these covered in Raptor bed lining and they actually don't look bad.
      I've been trying to figure out what we're going to do with this one once I get the new radiator support in and I think we're just going to repaint it white and put the push bar on

    How long do you think it took you to complete the whole process?

    • @truckerdaveandred6731
      @truckerdaveandred6731  2 роки тому

      It took longer than it should have because I'm only home about four days out of the month. But truthfully, had I stayed on it and had all the parts available this is something you could actually knockout in a weekend from start to finish. If you're going to paint it, that would take you a lot longer. But due to time constraints and the Gathering of parts, this took me to better part of a year.
      But realistically, if you have all the parts and the time to do it it doesn't take that much time at all

    I’m doing this to my crown Vic 06 LX I got into a accident and it broke the driver side fender bumper and headlights so I’m installing a new fender bumper head panel reinforcement bumper cover just having issues straitening the radiator support it was bent 6 inches in I pulled it out with a crow bar and steel pipe but I can’t get it all Aligned but I can get the screws in by the windshield have any advice ?

    • @truckerdaveandred6731
      @truckerdaveandred6731  2 роки тому

      Mine got ripples but didn't get pushed in but it through the whole alignment off very severely. Truthfully, I would suggest just replacing it. The way the radiator support is designed it's not really meant to be fixed. It's got several crumple zones in it and if you tweet those, You'll Play hell trying to get them straight. I replaced the fender on one side myself and didn't replace the radiator support and everything was completely thrown off.
      I went through the same thing and the only way you're really going to correct it is to just replace the support. It's a lot easier than you think and they're readily available in the junk yards for the most part.
