Bowman prices are all heavily inflated before the 4 min mark. Should be around $50 for the Port Finished and $45-50 for John J Bowman single barrel
I have yet to see a john J bowman SiB on the shelf in SC

The Journeyman Distillery makes a 100% wheat and it’s hard to find but you passed right by it. Check that bottle out, it’s very different but once it opens up it’s very tasty.

I live 2 hours from the Driftless Glen Distillery. Their Cask Strength Bourbon is fantastic. I also found a Cask Strength store pick that is so good. Worth trying. Knob Creek Single Barrel 120 proof store picks are $59.99 all day by me. Larceny C923 hit by me 2-3 weeks ago. It is good, but I prefer B523. $400 for Stagg Jr 🤣🤣 I paid $60 each for 5 of the 8 bottles I own. 🥃

Yeah they are. Last time I bought some Issac Bowman they were on sale for 30-35. I'm pretty sure I've seen them at like 35-40 in some of your other videos even. It's good but I'd never pay 65 dollars for it.
The Sazerac for 27 dollars is msrp though, I'd buy that all day.
I love the smoked maple. It’s very subtle even though I don’t like flavored stuff. The knob creek is one to get.

You find great bourbons. So many bottles out west are just astronomical in price.
If you like a bold smokey flavor the campfire is you. I like drinking it literally sitting around a campfire with friends on a cold winter night its a very specific kinda whiskey

The darn 15 from my experience needs a second chance. I had it before my bourbon journey and now I think I will taste different things

Echo the 12 quality. Hadn't had the 15 but I hear it's starting to get too oaky from the 12.
@@BuckMcAntlerson that's always my experience. I feel like 8-10 years is a sweet spot for bourbon and anything over 12 years can be over oaked.

You need to go to lucky liquors in Summerville really good prices lots of allocated bottles. Knob 12-15-18 for great prices.

Seems like the stores that do have the allocated stuff also have it marked up. I guess that’s why it’s still on the shelf. I found a store up here in Greenville with a nice selection and some allocated. But it was pricey! Great video thanks for sharing! ✌🏻

That KC Maple is a cocktail only bourbon IMO especially for fall.
Smoked maple bourbon OF
2oz smoked maple bourbon
1/2 oz simple
4 dashes of fee brothers black walnut bitters
Use a cocktail smoker on the drink
Garnish with orange rind and good cocktail cherry
You can also substitute the recipe above with a flavored simple syrup and it’s fantastic

I had to start mixing the smoked maple with other Knob Creek. The smoked maple by itself was incredibly sweet and over powering. Agree it’s a cocktail only 👍🏼
There are 3 to 5 stores in the NEGA are that have the black top Early Times. They do have the blue shrink wrap but have the black caps underneath. 2 of the stores always rotate them to the back on the bottom shelf, so you really have to get down and look.
I was just up that way maybe I can go back soon and find some!
The price for the tin cup 10 year is very good and where it should be IMO. Near me it’s $55-60. That Giant whiskey from TX was recommended one time at Total Wine and it was a drain pour.
Drain pour is what I was afraid of 😂
regular Larceny is Trash, and Cooper's Craft BiB is my jam....

Couldn’t agree more. Regular Larceny is funky like old moldy socks. Even the BP isn’t very good to me. Coopers BIB is the best value in all of whiskey IMO.
The Jack Daniel's Single Barrel Barrel Proof is so good if you haven't had it.

Distillery 291 has some good shit for sure, and they're some of the nicest people I've ever met! Specifically, I love the bottle "E" (experimental) batch 11.

Coopers 100 is a great deal considering all the other crap that is massively over priced. It is a always BUY when I run out. Sip, Mix, on ice, Coke, Neat whatever.. its great.
Knob Creek Maple .. its like Maple Syrup for panckakes.. I use a drab on my mix for Manhatan or Whsikey drinks .. delicious.. a bottle will last you a long long time. Sipping neat not so much.
The Big House.. that had me laughing. You gota get it.

Had the choice between a Widow Jane 10 year and an OF 1920 on Thursday. Went with Widow Jane. I have a bit of buyer's remorse I think I made the wrong choice.

I picked up the Knob Creek Smoked Maple last week and as a pour it might be the worst thing I have ever tried (apart from Kurveball). However, it does make a great cocktail

Had a pour of Jefferson's Reserve Aged At Sea at a bar Friday night. I don't think I'll pick up a bottle for the price they are. It was good but would rather get Knob or Russell's for cheaper and better drink IMO.

@@Bourbon_Hunter definitely try it, I don’t think you’ll be disappointed. Just mix 1:1 ratio or you can do 2oz. of 1920 and 1oz. of 1910. Whichever to your liking.

Yeah, it’s nasty. It’s overwhelmingly sweet and artificial tasting. Honestly, if it’s something you really want to try, get a cocktail smoker kit and stir in a few drops of pure maple syrup to your taste in a KC 9 year pour and you can get much better results.
