- this movie was sadly a really bad adaptation of the book (dragon rider by cornelia funke for those unfamiliar) but nettlebrand was cool at least. tried to keep this to scenes that really featured him!

He's a monster!
What enfuriates me about him is that he's made of gold, and although, he was like that in original books.. GOLD MELT WITH FIRE!!
I'm serious, couldn't they make him bronze for a change or some material more solid than gold?
Sure, it would disgrace the original design, but at least he would look unstoppable and his defeat wouldn't be so anti-climatic.
(which brings me to another issue with this.. The scientist dude made his dragons a hunter for other dragons and yet, he doesn't even fly?.. HOW IN THE HECK IS HE SUPPOSE TO CATCH THEM IN THEIR FLYING IN THE AIR?? BY WAITING FOR THEM??)
He's magic, and is in some way connected to water. He can travel anywhere through it, and his scales are as cold as the ocean, fire is useless against him. As for catching when they are flying, two answers. One, he is supposed to have a flock of magical ravens which can block out the moons light, preventing dragosn from flying, and two, he finds the sport fun.

This is perhaps the most shameful ripp off of how to train your dragon
The greatest animated trilogy of all time
And I've seen ripp offs so cheep their helerias to watch
You can just see how little they cared about this film
All the actors sound like their not even trying
The animation for the most part is bland and in some shots it looks ugly
And it's heard to feel anything
This is perhaps the most boring dragon movie I've ever seen
And to add insult to injury
They had Patrick Stewart play the villan
And he Bearley dose anything with his role
It actually would have worked if they had seth machfarlen to voice one of his slaves
Would it have made the movie better
No but it would have made a nice references to American dad
This is the worst dragon in the dumbest dragon movie ripoff of How To Train Your Dragon

This movie is based on the german book Dragon Rider by Cornelia Funke. The original book Dragon Rider is 6 years older than the books How to train your dragon are based on.
For comparison:
Dragon Rider (1997)
How to train your dragon (2003)

@@SmilerCalvin Hard agreed on that. It still breaks my heart that this was the adaptation of my favorite book. At least the author agrees with me. She also hates this movie
