Thanks for sharing. The Waymo handled the rain great IMO. I am not sure it needed to turn left at 7:35 (maybe it could have followed that white car around the cones( but in any case it did a great job snaking through the parking lot when it did decide to reroute around the messy construction zones. I know Waymo has hand gesture recognition but the cross guard will give Waymo another data point to train the system on. Not sure what the computer issue was since the visualizations on the screen seems to show the autonomous driving was still working great based on the path on the screen. I am optimistic Waymo will resolve these issues. We are on step closer to driverless that can handle all these conditions with no issues. Good stuff from Waymo!
Thanks for this! It's very interesting to see how the path planner works even outside of autonomous mode. The operator UI looks very modern as well, unlike the old boxy red "no-go zones" the 4th gen had!
