Brent, sure did miss Jennifer and the boys not being with you! I'd have to get a hypnotist to hypnotized me before I'd get on that because, I'm really afraid of heights! Beautiful views going up and around and back down! Really enjoyed your video!
Jennifer is extremely afraid of heights, so that’s the reason why I went solo. The views are great and there’s actually a webcam at the top, so anyone can access those views Live at anytime on UA-cam. Thanks so much for watching and commenting, Carla!

I have not been up there in years. Back then there was only a place with some of those telescopic things you put a quarter in and look around. I had not idea all of this was up there. I just never have wanted to go back, but now I will. Thanks for taking us along!
We know exactly what you're talking about with those telescopic things. They still have some at the top of the space needle in Gatlinburg. It was fun to go up and explore and it will be exciting to see what the new construction will bring. Thanks so much for watching, Cathy!

I heard they’re putting in a new chair lift, so they will have a total of two chairlift
That will be nice to have an alternative location for a lift to the top.
Brent, I remember when my family took us up the ‘ski lift’ way back in 1976 when I was 10 & up top there was a nice restaurant that I think featured German style food. I was not happy with my meal & am still complaining about it 47 years later! 😂 it might have been the Ober Mountain but I don’t think we took the tram. What year was the tram put in? 🤔
That must've been a really awful meal to still have vivid memories of it to this day - that's too funny. The ski lift was built back in the early 70s, but it's possible that you may have driven up to Ober. We've never taken the tram and have always drive up ski mountain road to go to Ober's parking lot. We haven't visited since 2006, but there are ski lifts at Ober, which take you even further up the mountain.
