Minimalism in the fog | Landscape Photography

- Welcome back! In this video I set out to capture some photos on a foggy morning. I start in a woodland but end up in "Minimalism heaven" on some fields outside my hometown Söderhamn, in Sweden.

We'll be seeing plenty of fog soon, but not so much here in Nova Scotia in the winter time. Do enjoy a good fog though, especially if I'm close to the ocean and can hear a lighthouse foghorn. Very cool!

Hi Mike! Hehe, I havent wached my car all winter. It's because it was wet. That and the color of the car makes the dirt "invisible". :) I'm glad you like my photos. It sure was a special day in the field.

We had some fog a few weeks ago but it wasn't thick enough to be special. I love it though, it smells so good. I could almost smell your photos Lol That nice wet damp smell that comes from the earth and snow and mist in the air in the spring. Deep breath in....relax....deep breath in....relax...Ahhhh :)
Spring is here almost 5 weeks early. There's hardly any snow on the ground and it hammered down rain a few nights ago and we even had a brief thunderstorm. I can remember one single night where we've had a thunderstorm in March in all of my life. Very strange!
Might go for a little shoot for an hour or two tomorrow. I'm not looking for portfolio shots but at the very least it will be a great morning out in nature. Can't lose :)
Ah, yes the air is something special in spring! Sounds crazy with a thunderstorm that early in spring.
Just to get out in nature is a win! :)
@@ThomasRaskPhoto Well, it was not meant to be today, other things got in the way. Soon though. Other than tomorrow the weather is looking promising for the next week or so. +10 next week! That's just crazy.

Hi Hugo! Right now I'm in a black and white "mode". I think it has something to do with the winter. I just love all the sharp contrast between snow and trees. 😀

Great stuff, Thomas. 👏🏻👏🏻 Nice set of images as well. We have similar conditions as this in northern New Hampshire in the states at the moment and always makes folks eager to get out and enjoy it. Can us photographer really resist foggy conditions like that? Haha

Where I live in the USA it has been gray skies, very little fog, and no snow. My usual winter photo locations have been uninspiring. Spring flowers and sunny days will be here soon enough, though!
I hope you get more inspiring conditions. What I do when I feel uninspired is: I try something new. Like ICM for example. Or macro! And if I don't find any inspiration. Well, I'm just happy to be out in nature! :)
