Nice to see a woman who is not afraid to use power tools. I wish there were more like you.

Its great to see this here. I picked one of these saws up recently for $30 I cant wait to use it. Its missing the leg and miter guage. Harbor freight sells those feather boards for like $6.00 or so. The clip on front you showed was to lock the leg when its folded.

I know this has been quite some time ago, but I hope you've now put in the anti-kick back safeties like the riving knife.

Diablo blades. Yes the cost more but they will last longer, give you cleaner cuts and decrease the amount of stress on the saw's running hardware.

How can you change the blade?

Do you happen to use the splitter? I have been searching high and low for one and cant seem to find one. Mine is missing and if you dont use yours maybe i cam buy it off you.

The splitter goes behind the table. Way behind the blade. I've had 2x4s tighten up to where the splitter blocked me from finishing the rip. That's why I ended up removing the splitter. I probably will end up selling this table saw when/if I can get a more powerful table saw. Better if I have all its parts. Sorry. There has to be some after market splitter?

@@ViviansDIYProjects unfortunately they no longer sell one that fits this saw. Thank you though, best of luck.

Thanks for the review. Would you buy it again?

No, not this exact model because of where the splitter (riving knife) is located. A table saw should have a splitter right behind blade and goes up only as high as the blade. For this model, you can't cut rabbets with the splitter installed. Still not a bad table saw and for the price it's hard to beat. Yesterday was week 12 since my table saw accident. That splitter would have prevented this accident entirely. So it's important to consider.

Vivian's DIY Projects Thanks for the reply, all this helps making the right purchase. I'm sorry about your accident. I hope you are ok now and still have all your digits.

Thank you. I have all my fingers, at their full lengths. Just dealing with mobility and tight scar tissues. Best of...not luck but wisdom in getting a table saw. Very smart to learn from others before making a decision.

Have you got the dust collection bag the fits underneath the table? Easy way to clean it out is with compressed air if you have a compressor

Playing around with non-electric methods/systems to reduce the dust and to keep the finer stuff from going all over. Need lumber to cut up to test it.

What does being packed with saw dust have to do with a product review?
You are talking of operator abuse!

I wish you talked about the saw. Maybe decide what you’re going to say before you start the camera.

I learned about saw dust, kreg tools, blades and almost nothing about the saw. Worst "review" ever
