Bearing in mind I just arrived here randomly and know almost nothing about TV presentation... that effect with the clock and the door seems quite impressive for 1979. Was it, or was it in fact pretty easy by that time?
I’d say fairly easy at that time. Chromakey effects had long been a thing. But it was unusual. BBC tv wouldn’t often play around with the clock and presentation junctions like that.
