Ray hating the entire concept of an ongoing in game ladder debate only to wind up in the middle of a full on war through chats and bits and eventually taking a side is poetry
Ray after being told by Tina of the differentiation of the two was so satisfying in the second game 😂
@@E_T_H Which video/stream was it? (posted this before 56:00)
@@toonman5099 I believe it’s when Ray plays the second game and it’s in the circus case 😊 it would either be part 2/3
@@E_T_H Gotcha, i *did* also just see via the may 2019 highlight vid, I just didn't know if he went into more detail to explain the difference between a ladder and a step-ladder
Not going to lie. I honestly felt that was the moment Ray truly met the Ace Attorney fanbase...and was being trolled by them.
“I’m gonna question that tree!” Honestly, not TERRIBLY far off, all things considered.
Considering some of the other characters such as a parrot and an orca, its not too far fetched
@@bigguy978978 and the cactus is an important character in the bonus case
The amount of perfectly timed "I'm about ta bust." this has is soooo good!
It needs to be a drinking game.
Hank busting to Miles Edgeworth introduction is by far the most hilarious and perfectly timed alert in Ray’s stream
8:24
Oh the thumbnail is absolutely perfect.
Judge: Whose this useless young man?
Ray: it’s me :)
This playthrough was a masterpiece. This game aged like fine wine & Ray's humour bounced off the game so well.
I can’t believe it’s been 3 years already. These streams were absolute gold.
Also, side note, there IS a difference between ladders and stepladders for those who didn't see the original streams: Ladders need to be leaned up against or attached to something to be used, such as the side of a building or a tree, while stepladders are the ones that fold up and can stand on their own when unfolded. So 99% of the ladders they look at throughout the game are, in fact, stepladders.
25:36 Ah yes the start of the most important debate
The argument and the bits/money given in to debate about the ladders and stepladder was beautiful.
The Hank Hill moment at roughly 42:00 actually made me spit so fucking much from laughing haahahah!
(It's like 5 or so seconds before, but can't really be arsed to check the exact second.)
Also btw it's 100% a stepladder
"I'm about to bust!" Everytime 😂
This is probably my favorite series that Ray has done. I sincerely hope that he will do more from the series someday but I understand if he doesn't.
I'm actually so mad Ray got the jar lined up perfectly on his first try.
I got really excited when this popped up in my notifs. It was entirely by chance that I clicked on the first VOD when it got uploaded, and I thought the game was charming. Seeing the highlight comp flooded me with a lot of emotions.
At the risk of sounding hella dorky, I'm glad I watched that first VOD. I got hooked on the games when he finished the first one, sped through the series because I had a need to interact with it more and Capcom essentially Skyrim's the trilogy. Joined a discord server I found that was a joking "has this happened yet? nope" ordeal, and made friends. A few of us made a separate server for unrelated conversation, and a lot of people joined from the OG server, as well as new people. Of those OG server people who joined was someone who I am now very lucky to call my partner of 2+ years- we talked a lot, bonded over a ton of shit, and then they asked me in February of 2020 (the 19th, to be exact), and now here I am.
I've got a flight to Canada to go visit him in August, I'm legitimately in what's probably the best relationship I've ever been in, and all because Ray played a silly lawyer game for the achievements. Thank you for the years of content and also being the reason I know one of my favorite people! It means a lot!
This is incredible, congratulations!!
By far one of the best series to watch Ray stream
I was so happy watching you play this, you made the jokes so much better Ray
The Music for this game will always SLAP! God Tier soundtrack 🔥🔥
one of my favourite series by Ray!!!! Thanks for the brilliant edit as always Light
You’re welcome! Enjoy!
BROOOOO THIS WAS SUCHA GOOD FEW LPS, STEAMS, DOPE ASS TIME, get to enjoy again with this, god bless you, STAY JUICY
I think this was the only Ace Attorney playthrough I never finished watching, mainly because that last case takes forever. Glad I can see a condensed form of it now!
I just started re-watching the whole playthrough the other night cause there was so many gold moments
18:48 She started Morbin
Hank really stole the show in this series 😂😂😂
I was in my first year of university when Ray started streaming this series.
Going to be Graduating in July.
Time really flies, huh?☺️💖
55:09 so glad ray said it
The video is only about 60% done and he only has 1 case left. Yeah that sounds about right!
I love how Game Grumps and Ray made the same fucking joke about hands shaking, mom’s spaghetti XD
Every person I've watched play this game has made that joke. No one can resist it.
Ray I want to let you know you give me endless entertainment thank you
Never seen this playthrough so this should be fun
Honestly, one of Rays best if you can sit through a visual novel
that ladder vs step ladder achievement got so meta
the second was definitely a stepladder btw
I can't believe he's doing this I'm excited Pog
What a coincidence that the same day this drops, Shenpai streams this game.
Shoutout to my man Hank Hill for making these streams 10 times better.
It’s been 3 years? God time flies.
...I gotta watch these VODs again.
is a trial for murder with his best friend as the murderer
Phoenix: still makes puns.
Based Phoenix
Phoenix: Oh, I assure you it’s quite based.
Actual quote
I still can't believe that instead of making a Yami Yugi joke he goes for Yogi bear
Wow an APA reference in 2019. I popped for it.
Yessss been waiting for this series highlights!! Thank you! 🔥🔥 I’m guessing that means Ray is playing the other series fingers crossed 🤞🏽🤞🏽
24:40 Nagito: "Oh Hajiray, you can't grasp True Hope with logic like that."
I’m going to be brave and say that I agree with Ray on the ladder/step ladder argument
Three weeks in a row of solid comps!
55:32 What he's talking about is a step stool, which, to be fair, is often called a step ladder
OBJECTION! HEARSAY!
But you asked the question…
I absolutely love the Ace Attorney games, but yeah, they can take such a long time to complete, especially the last case of the game. I sometimes need to take a break between games before continuuing.
The "Im about to bust" Cut
I think a better name for this LP was "Hank Hill: Ace Buster"
We need a alert comp. Hank was going off. Get him some water.
Wild how much of the video is Case 5
HOLY FUCK I never knew he played this??? Time to go to the VODS and binge
14:30 the painting is just his NFT
When ray said wha wha it sounded like monokuma
The Judge is always the best character in this game.
21:49
Cue the: "When you nut, but she" memes.
Wonder if Ray is gonna go to Seventeen's US tour concert this year
Holy shit this was 3 years ago?
fun fact: You can buy boxes of the Chedder bay biscuit mix, so you can have the Red lobster biscuits at home!
Outside of hank hill, the judge is the best character in this damn game
55:28 to answer- yes
1:04:48 I will now have nightmares for this, Thanks for that
i miss Ray's reading voice, i need a Great Ace Attorney playthrough
Alternate TItle: Ray slowly losing his mind over a ladder being a ladder or a step ladder.
59:55
You're welcome
Ah yes UA-cam, this is some very heavy rain.
*I'm about to bust*

When Mia dies: A-Chief-ment unlocked
cry mia river
So much absurdness in one game yet it all flowed so well. I wonder if Ray will play the newer Ace Attorney set in the past? Inb4 he’s already done this and I’m lagging on content.
Unfortunately he never moved on through the series after the original trilogy.
He has said before he probably won't because it's a lot and the fan base was out of control
@@AnotherPassing1 Makes sense. The fanbase can be very much absurd at times and the backseating horrid.
@@LordAnubisGaming it's like when he played an old Metroid game and you could see within minutes Backseatters just jumping in and getting timed out. It's like what in the hell do you guys do with your time. Like are yous just trying to help people in that category for no reason or because you don't have a streamer you typically watch. Like damn people
@@AnotherPassing1 I saw similar things happening when I watched old VODs from JoCat when he was playing Hollow Knight. He liked playing it but the experience was ruined due to so many unnecessary backseaters.
It’s ace attorney but it says it’s heavy rain in the description. So does Ethan mars just yell out Shaun for his defense
What a coincidence, I've taken up continuing Great Ace Attorney Chronicles.
42:00
Ray over here acting like he wasnt literally Sal from 2012-2015. I remember. Ill never forget the challenge finders.
Every single person would be atleast fired or put in jail with these legal practices.
maybe one day Ray will play Ace Atthorney 4 onwards. I think he'd love Apollos first game
Game: Heavy Rain
Please tell me he plays the rest of the trilogy
It really is a stepladder. I don't know my biological ladder.
Didn't know you did the Phoenix Wright games, will probably watch them sometime. Although it looks like part 2 of Trials and Tribulations is unavailable, that sucks, what happened to it?~
21:16
I've not played through any of the Ace Attorney games but I do somewhat understand the concept of them. I'm personally a fan of the Danganronpa franchise myself.
But it was a stepladder though...
The law procedures in this game are wonky for a couple of reasons. 1., it's a video game, but 2. it's a video game based around Japanese law. That's why all of the trials don't have a jury, for instance, even though they would in American courts. Despite Capcom USA trying really hard to localize the games to get rid of the Japanese-ness 4Kids style, it's still pretty evident.
Just curious, have people seen the videos of the Depp/Heard trial animated like Ace Attorney?
Wow that’s a thing?!?! I must investigate 😂
@@E_T_H ua-cam.com/video/Z5mKgtN0dIE/v-deo.html investigate no further! There are currently 7 of them on this guy’s channel
Yes, you did have to blow on the 3DS. It was annoying.
I'm the 333th like nice
Curious that this was posted on the last day of a certain trial, lol
i would love a mini comp of just the ladder argument, it's just gold. 🪜
I think you mean step ladder argument 🪜
@@Legoluke197 oh, u rite
