Thanks Johnny! Just keep in mind this is only for super lightly dirty cars and won’t clean 100%. Nothing replaces a true handwash. This is an alternative to quickly get a mostly clean looking car if you just want a quick touchless solution.
Hi Pan, great video as usual. I have a question for you. Would you agree that the results you are getting are because the car is coated? What would be the results on a non-coated car? The reason why I ask is because I use a foam cannon to prewash my SUV which is not coated and after I rinse it I still have dirt on the car. I was wondering if it is due to the quality of the equipment or products I'm using (I'm using a shampoo, not a foam). Thanks.
Just keep in mind this is just a quick wash, and doesn’t get your car 100% clean. For a full clean you always need to follow up with a contact wash. Welcome to my channel. You discovered one of the biggest car detailing channels on UA-cam as we surpassed 900,000 subscribers and we have over 116 million views! Man your car is so nice! I saw one parked on the road a couple of days ago, had to park my car to take some pictures of that German piece of excellent engineering
Question! How about quick detail sprays on light dirts, dust and debris? Some of us won’t have washing equipments. Can you do a video about pros and cons of quick detail sprays, thanks. Keep up the great videos!
If you only have a light layer of dust, you can use a quick detail spray. Anything more than that, I'd use a traditional wash with buckets and water. If you don't have equipment, and your car is only "lightly" dirty, you can use waterless or rinseless wash techniques. I have tutorials on both methods. Rinseless wash: ua-cam.com/video/RP_BZ-jZBnY/v-deo.html Waterless wash: ua-cam.com/video/8y-dB9Z0L-k/v-deo.html
The only thing I do differently is to use my shop-vac in blow-mode to dry my vehicle after the first 3 steps. Works like a charm and to be honest I didn't even know that you can buy a blower for drying a car.👍
Pan TheOrganizer I recently bought a new X6 BMW (my dream car for as long as I can remember) and I did a search for tutorials on how to take care of the the car and your work kept coming up - and with good reason! Thanks again!
Interestingly I used to start by pressure washing my car then snow foam as you have done. But I was told I was doing it wrong and I should snow foam first then rise. Would be nice to hear your thought. Cheers and love this video thanks!
@Reel-Lentless A resin water filter. This basically removes all the calcium carbonate which is what water spots are. Not cheap but do a lot odmf spot free washing.
Hello, Pan! First of all I really really appreciate your video for bringing me into the car detailing! I have been wondering will the neighbors mind us doing the detailing on the driveway? Since the foam may seem annoying for someone. Thanks!
Hello 🖐 Pan, always at the top in explaining the best method to eliminate the most stubborn dirt.Wash the car is an art, not a pastime on Sunday! You do it with great professionalism !! The electric blower is excellent for not using the chamois cloth to dry the bodywork. But you forgot to dry the interior doors 😁😁😁. The BMW 550 i xdrive is beautiful. A real BMW jewel. 👍 👍
Nice Vid Pan. The only Problem i see with this method is, that you can not remove traficfilm from the paint. But for light dirt or dust its the perfect method.
Exactly. This is for well maintained cars. To remove traffic film, I’d still use a pre-wash with an alkaline cleaner like Purple Power Vehicle and Boat Wash. ;)
You should actually rinse from the bottom to the top. The foam covers the suface to loosen up the dirt and contain it. When doing a touchless pre wash the high pressure beam works like a brush and when rinsing, it carries the dirt away. The beam actually shoots away the foam containing the dirt. That's why you shoukd rinse from the bottom. When rinsing from the top first the water runs down and rinses away the foam of the lower parts without the high pressure beam hitting the foam and dirt as supposedly. And also, without the foam covering unrinsed parts, it's easy to miss a spot when you can't see where you have rinsed. Starting from the bottom rinsing horisontally line by line working yourself up, you'll always keep track where to rinse. Yes, rinsing from bottom to the top takes more time and water, but this is the way professionals do for the reasons stated above. When you hand wash a car you remove the dirt mechanically and then there's no reason to rinse from the bottom to the top. Then off course it's much more efficient to rinse from the top. There's a big difference.
I tried both methods, but I still prefer top to bottom. To each their own, what ever works in your world I'm ok with. As long as one uses safe washing and drying techniques. How did you discover my channel by the way? You discovered one of the biggest detailing channels on UA-cam as we're approaching 600,000 subscribers and have surpassed 65 million views. :)
@@PanTheOrganizer - thanks for your reply. I don't know how I discovered your channel. I guess I've watched other car wash videos and got linked to your videos. I enjoy your videos and for sure you're an experienced professional car detailer. But I'm a bit surprised you use the top to down method still. Maybe it's a sensitive question for big UA-cam'ers in this segment. The opinion of the big crowd is crucial. A couple of years ago there was a quite vivid ongoing debate about this subject. Today most professional car detailers rinse from bottom to top for the technical reasons I've stated in my post above. - the foam lifts and contains the dirt - the high pressure beam works as a brush and it's important that the beam shoots the foam/dirt away. - it's important to not miss an inch of the surface. Rinsing from bottom, you'll find it easier to keep track where to rinse. It's important to adress this is not a matter of efficiency, water and time saving. As I've also pointed out, when you have washed a car by hand then off course it's much better to rinse from the top. Please, despite your very long experience, try to reevaluate your views on this specific matter. Thanks for all your great videos. Car detailing gives us so much fun. Impressive numbers how your channel have grown. I'll subscribe, cheers!
It’s nice to have open and polite exchanges on topics, so thank you for that. Too many keyboard warriors today on internet just can’t have adult discussions. I totally understand your points. By the way, since you subscribed to my channel, let me officially welcome you to the Pan The Organizer family! What country are you watching from? Hi from Canada 🇨🇦!
@@PanTheOrganizer - I totally agree with you. Hopefully internet will be a more civilized meeting point in the near future. I think it's important that "normal" decent people contribute to the overall discussions in social media showing the bunch of toxic minority that it's possible to have different opinions. I'm from Sweden. I've always complained about our rough climate, but since I've found the joy of car detailing it's actually a blessing to live here ; ) Until next time, have a good one
@@PanTheOrganizer - one last post from me on this subject. Here's a link to a video showing why to rinse bottom first. I hope you don't mind linking. ua-cam.com/video/70oDKVe2Sa8/v-deo.html
I use this method when it’s just rained and more is expected in during the week. Only downside is the door/trunk jams are still dirty if you do the full non-touch routine.
Thank you. This is what I was looking for. My new car will be ceramic coated next week and I'm in the research phase for how to easily and quickly wash it. I don't ever expect it to get very dirty. It's not an every day use car. This video was made five years ago. I've been seeing more recently that some people think that foaming a dry car gets better results. Any thoughts on that?
Welcome to my channel. You discovered one of the biggest car detailing channels on UA-cam as we surpassed 980,000 subscribers and we have over 132 million views! I have been detailing for 26 years and I love to share my knowledge and passion with my viewers. You found the right channel to help you learn everything about detailing. First, let me start by saying that a touchless method isn’t meant to get your car 100% clean. This only is for a quick cleaning of a lightly dirty car. For 100% perfect clean you need to follow up with a proper contact wash. I have a popular tutorial on washing a car like a pro here: ua-cam.com/video/7Koj5j2Es5U/v-deo.html As far as foaming on dry or wet those are two schools of thought with pros and cons to each. The biggest pro of foaming on dry is the product doesn’t get diluted as much. These days I mainly foam on dry paint. See how I fully detail a car in this video: ua-cam.com/video/L5SQ0ZIJCj0/v-deo.htmlsi=mcQiMs9HBLlaqjGK Also, don’t forget to do a proper maintenance wash of your ceramic coated car at least once every 2-3 months. See my tutorial here: ua-cam.com/video/IqIW78FmRYU/v-deo.htmlsi=KYZzOH6F8XdB8mb6
Hi Pan, I'm looking forward to start a detailing business , doing some researches on UA-cam and bang how lucky I'am, your channel appears to me and I carefully watched your video of "#How To Start A Mobile Car Wash Business !!" and the second part as well. I'm really impressed by your professionalism and really appreciate every single word you've said. I have some concerns before I start spending money and I believe you have the right answer to my case. My first question what should I need to focus on more, is it advertising wherever the location is (of course in my big town) or should I give the station location more attention and pay higher rent to get a location in a rush road. My Second question is: What do you think, is it better to purchase a station already exist in business or create a new station? I'm from Tunisia by the way.
I was thinking recently I'd love to do this in winter sometimes because I often think spending all that time cleaning the car for it to then get mucky again quickly due to the state the roads can get in during a British winter is frustrating. I think doing this method would save time, frustration and obviously the paint as well since winter crud puts the paint at more risk of damage. Just need one of those Metrovac Blasters lol.
More than a UA-cam channel content maker, you're an inspiration. Content like yours inspires me to become infected with cleanliness OCD. I'm in love with your work Pan. Just a small query, isn't it wise to clean the surface rust in the brake disc by the reversing-forwarding technique before the wash process? That way, the loosened up rust should get washed away with the rinsed shampoo.
Pan! I remember your channel from years ago. I just thumbs up and subscribed. I have one of my cars finishing a $2,000 paint job. I'm determined to avoid swirl marks this time. lol Thanks for sharing your extensive knowledge.
@@PanTheOrganizer google. I just bought a 2022 BMW M850 and for as much as this car cost me, I need to keep it like new for as long as I can. Lol Love your car on here though. So nice.
Awesome! Since you subbed to my channel, let me officially welcome you to the Pan TheOrganizer family!! What country are you watching from? Hi from Canada!
Hi Pan, I am a big fan and enjoy watching your videos. I recently purchased a 530i and was curious about how to take care it and came across your videos. Huge help, thanks! I do have a question, do you have an "emergency detail kit/bag" for your vehicle for quick clean ups when you are out and about? If so, which prodcuts do you carry with you? Thanks again Pan!
in my experience, foam the car and let it soak in there for couple of mins first then rinse with the pressure washer, it is better that way. the logic behind it is the so the soap is not diluted with the water from rinsing the vehicle, thus being more effective at pulling dirt down.
@@PanTheOrganizer yeah, I guess that no pre rinsing works best for cars that are not very dirty, for me it works best because I don't go off-road too much.
Dude the guys at the dealership could do this because I actually saw them using chamois on the new cars on the lot today. No wonder new cars have all those scratches.
Exactly! And that's one more reason why we often say "dealer installed scratches and swirls" even on new cars that are poorly prepped by dealerships. Very sad. Pan to the rescue! :)
Yep. Those guys aren't paid much either. I've seen glass cleaner used as a quick detailer on a car that was just purchased and getting prepped for the customer. 😬
@@amill1563 I'm pretty sure dealerships know how to properly wash a car safely, just decide not to for time related pressures. Takes me 20 mins to wash and dry dealership style and about 4 hours doing it the OCD proper way lol. I got my new car 3 months ago. I did a full decontamination, fall out remover, polish, wax ect. Had it looking as close to perfection as possible. Left the car out to dealership for a slight screen wash bottle warranty issue. They decide to give it a quick hand wash before handover. Now my car in sunlight has swirl marks. FML.
@@PanTheOrganizer That isn’t going to be a problem 😃😎. Every one gets better than the next. Avalon king e mailed Me today letting Me know My three bottles of ceramic coating (Thanks, Pan!) are on their way. I prepped the garage for the upcoming season. Everything is still inside in boxes. Lots of $. Freezing is bad for our valuable products. Cleaned and organized towels and a few other things. I’m beyond excited to start polishing, detailing again.
Im getting my m550 soon delivered and i'm willing to do the ceramic coating 3 layers exactly as you showed it in previous video but the problem i don't have a closed garage, only a driveway so what i should do?also how you got these m logo on the side fenders? in the us they don't come with them if you can put the link for those will be appreciated.
You shouldn't attempt applying ceramic coating outdoors. Only needs a gust of wind to blow dust etc on the car while the coating is curing to possibly cause problems. Not to mention rain or bird shit lol. At least use a gazebo and check the weather forecast.
Your the man love all your video's and tech help. Have you ever done a video on neglected leather I've tried all kinds of products on mine nothing seems to help I bought this car off Ebay :( it was so neglected leather seats with Alcantara some of the stitching has popped but I'm trying to see if I can soften the leather back up any ideas thanks for all you do take care always.
I wash my M4 every Friday. I am extremely paranoid about swirl marks and just got a professional polish completed. Is this safe to do once a week? How often do you think I should need to reapply wax? When I detail the car and eventually touch it, what’s the best way to prevent swirls? Would highly appreciate it if u could answer a few of my questions, I hope it’s not too much. Thanks Pan, keep it up.
Hi Chris. Here is how I wash my own BMW M550i twice weekly: ua-cam.com/video/xaQmB_qje_4/v-deo.html A touchless wash is only good for very lightly dirty cars: i.e. dusty. Anything more dirty, you want a proper hand wash using safe wash techniques like the link I just gave you. And since you have an M4, watch how I fully detailed this black M3: ua-cam.com/video/OjQavIEiWlM/v-deo.html
Thanks! Did you see the video where I fully detail my new M550i after taking delivery from the dealership? Here: ua-cam.com/video/dsCmJJDP3xo/v-deo.html
Haven't contact washed my car in over 6 months using this exact method. I find not rinsing first, lets the snowfoam stay undiluted and clear more dirt.

i bought a new car 2 months ago, and now it got plenty of fine scratches and swirl marks. mostly from washing, cat claws, people and some unknown sources.. worst is it's black & became dusty real quick even only hours after wash.
Once again great video Pan! I am so buying that water pressure that thing is nice and I need my foam to be thick foam guns on a hose just doesn’t get it thick enough Thanks Pan you are AWESOME
There are no miracles for a dirty or muddy car. A traditional wash method is required. See my popular car wash tutorial here: ua-cam.com/video/7Koj5j2Es5U/v-deo.html
You are awesome, Pan!! I just got a Ceramic Pro coating on my car (4 coats) one week ago and it looks awesome! In another week, the company that put on the coating is going to wash my car for me. After that, I will be responsible for my washes. I saw your channel and I'm hooked! I just bought a SunJoe pressure washer, foam cannon, Adam's car shampoo, and an awesome leaf blower. After watching this video, I'm ready! I want to take pride in knowing that I'm the one that's making my car shine. Is it okay to do this touchless method each week or should I do it twice a week? Thanks again!
If your car is lightly dirty then yes touchless will work. But when it gets dirty or at least once every three weeks, do a normal contact wash using safe washing techniques.
@@Involvedplays it still looks great! I have maintained my car well and I sometimes use CarPro reload spray just to prolong the life of the ceramic coating.
Rust on rotors is normal process. It also appears when vehicle is not used for few days. It goes away when brakes are used. I understand you are more concerned with the looks so you move your vehicle back and forth after washing but my comment is to let others know that it's not harmful if it appears :)
Exactly. I know it’s normal, I just wanted to give a quick tip to my viewers who were sending me questions about how to get rid of the visually unpleasant look of rusty rotors after a car wash. ;)
Pan, you make detailing easy with your videos. I normally use the blower function on a shop vac to blow away areas where a MF towel cannot remove water that continues to run or drip. Is the shop vac ok, as it would be equal to a leaf blower?
Hi Pan can you make a video on how to remove asphalt/tar and bugs from paint that insect remover and degreasers cant remove without making scratches when you use your wash mit or drye your car?
@@PanTheOrganizer Hi Pan. It's Harlem from NYC. I discovered your channel last month by accident just scrolling through UA-cam and we've had an exchange or two since then. That kranzle 1152 ts t pressure washer costs a fortune! Does it have a lifetime warranty? Do you use any kind of water treatment or is your water quality excellent where you live? In Southern California the water is quite hard so I subscribe to a service for a deionized water treatment tank @ $30 per month. I've used deionized water for final rinse since 2010 and the MetroVac Air Force Master Blaster for drying and have always gotten excellent results. I will give your touchless wash a try on my new Z06 when I next wash it. Your videos are excellent.
Thanks! The water in my area (new development) was super soft to start with and I still added a water softener system. Never had water spotting issues.
Need to get the car dryer to efficiently do this. I added chemical guys hydroslick a week ago. And have the chemical guys hrydrosilk shampoo to do the foam cannon after a honeydew foam cannon. Then the hydroslick recharge spray.
Hello Pan Any plans to do a tutorial regarding how to wash your car at a coin self wash, for the people that can't do to 2 buckets method and they are living in apartment blocks?? I'm curios about what products should we use when going to coin self wash. Me personally I've purchase a manually foam pump, CarPro Reset shampoo and CarPro Reload for my CarPro coating. And my routine is to prewash the car with pressure wash, then apply CarPro Reset with the manually pump and then rinse off. After that I use microfiber towel to dry the car and every 2-3 months I apply CarPro Reset. Any other product recommendations that I should use, a product for decontamination (like CarPro Iron x) or a product for prewash? Also can these products be used with a spray bottle? Thanks you
Some foam are advertised to work best on dry surface so that might be something to consider? Door jambs can have some foam left on them, do you dry them also separately? Nice video and car!
I’m looking for a quick but safe way to wash a car often. I’m currently experimenting with those self serve car washes. I’ve seen a guy use presoak, foam, wax, and rinse. I probably won’t use the wax. I’ll use a drying aid like ammo hydrate and a soft microfiber towel. Thoughts on this routine? I hate pulling out hoses and buckets twice a week.
Here is a tutorial I made on how to properly wash a car: ua-cam.com/video/7Koj5j2Es5U/v-deo.html That’s how I wash my car twice weekly. I wouldn’t do it any other way.

Thanks.
A coated car is always easier to wash. Coatings have self-cleaning properties meaning that dirt sticks less and they are easier to wash.
As an Uber black driver that wants to keep my car clean this is great and a time saver thanks!
Just keep in mind this is just a quick wash, and doesn’t get your car 100% clean. For a full clean you always need to follow up with a contact wash.

@@PanTheOrganizer Thanks for your reply very much appreciated!
Hey Pan, can highly recommend a DI Vessel to do your final rinse, no real need to dry if you use this and no water spots. Thanks for the video!
@Reel-Lentless A resin water filter. This basically removes all the calcium carbonate which is what water spots are. Not cheap but do a lot odmf spot free washing.
I watched the french version and it’s awesome, you have a Canadian accent in both languages. Love the video.
Thanks!
How did you discover my channel by the way?
The pro at his best 🤙
Thanks Ricardo!
Hello, Pan! First of all I really really appreciate your video for bringing me into the car detailing! I have been wondering will the neighbors mind us doing the detailing on the driveway? Since the foam may seem annoying for someone. Thanks!
Never had issues.
Thanks Massimo!
Nice Vid Pan. The only Problem i see with this method is, that you can not remove traficfilm from the paint. But for light dirt or dust its the perfect method.
Exactly. This is for well maintained cars. To remove traffic film, I’d still use a pre-wash with an alkaline cleaner like Purple Power Vehicle and Boat Wash. ;)
Your car is FLAWLESS!!! 👌🏾
Thanks Wayne! How did you discover my channel?
Pan TheOrganizer I was searching for videos on how to wash my Audi A4 Engine
- the foam lifts and contains the dirt
- the high pressure beam works as a brush and it's important that the beam shoots the foam/dirt away.

I use this method when it’s just rained and more is expected in during the week. Only downside is the door/trunk jams are still dirty if you do the full non-touch routine.
Yup. It’s a compromise until the next traditional wash with mitts and buckets.
You have the right car. Perfect choice.
Cool video.👍 I wish i was in your place coz in India, there's a LOT of dust and pollution on the road everywhere.😢

Great video pan. Thanks for sharing. I just ceramic coated my car so this will work great
Thanks James! Yes this technique is a match made in heaven for coated cars.
I have a popular tutorial on washing a car like a pro here: ua-cam.com/video/7Koj5j2Es5U/v-deo.html
As far as foaming on dry or wet those are two schools of thought with pros and cons to each. The biggest pro of foaming on dry is the product doesn’t get diluted as much. These days I mainly foam on dry paint.
See how I fully detail a car in this video: ua-cam.com/video/L5SQ0ZIJCj0/v-deo.htmlsi=mcQiMs9HBLlaqjGK
Also, don’t forget to do a proper maintenance wash of your ceramic coated car at least once every 2-3 months. See my tutorial here: ua-cam.com/video/IqIW78FmRYU/v-deo.htmlsi=KYZzOH6F8XdB8mb6
@@PanTheOrganizer Thank you again. I will check out those videos.
Excellent video thanks bro, I will try with my car tomorrow 😎
Thanks Edder!
Thanks for watching Richard!
07:44 this is when the neighbors call the cops on me as they think i've had too much maryjane
You have to wait until you finished your final rinse before doing the brake technique.
Your car is amazing. Just make city drive pov with this car!
Thanks Tanay!

Thanks again Pan!
get some glass cleaner n quick detailer or rainsless wash
Nice one Pan 👌🏻
Thanks!!
in my experience, foam the car and let it soak in there for couple of mins first then rinse with the pressure washer, it is better that way.
the logic behind it is the so the soap is not diluted with the water from rinsing the vehicle, thus being more effective at pulling dirt down.
I made a video on pre-rinsing vs not pre-rinsing before foaming here: ua-cam.com/video/16SwGBQ29rs/v-deo.html

Lol, They lot guys could take a PTO course you will put together for them and charge the dealer 4k. Boom!!
FML.

You shouldn't attempt applying ceramic coating outdoors. Only needs a gust of wind to blow dust etc on the car while the coating is curing to possibly cause problems. Not to mention rain or bird shit lol. At least use a gazebo and check the weather forecast.
Very informative, I appreciate the advice it was very helpful. Pan TheOrganizer you are the best👍

Hi Chris. Here is how I wash my own BMW M550i twice weekly: ua-cam.com/video/xaQmB_qje_4/v-deo.html

You are awesome, Pan!! I just got a Ceramic Pro coating on my car (4 coats) one week ago and it looks awesome! In another week, the company that put on the coating is going to wash my car for me. Rust on rotors is normal process. It also appears when vehicle is not used for few days. It goes away when brakes are used.
I understand you are more concerned with the looks so you move your vehicle back and forth after washing but my comment is to let others know that it's not harmful if it appears :)
Exactly. I know it’s normal, I just wanted to give a quick tip to my viewers who were sending me questions about how to get rid of the visually unpleasant look of rusty rotors after a car wash. ;)
I hear snow-foam doesn’t really remove film.
So why not do a fall out remover.
Rinse
Then a snow foam with a hand scrub
Then a rinse
It doesn't
Pan, you make detailing easy with your videos. I normally use the blower function on a shop vac to blow away areas where a MF towel cannot remove water that continues to run or drip. Is the shop vac ok, as it would be equal to a leaf blower?
Yes.

Hello Pan
Any plans to do a tutorial regarding how to wash your car at a coin self wash, for the people that can't do to 2 buckets method and they are living in apartment blocks??
Here is a tutorial I made on how to properly wash a car: ua-cam.com/video/7Koj5j2Es5U/v-deo.html

The only way to get it 100% clean is by doing an actual two bucket method contact wash.
