Horrific war that is over shadowed by WW2. The tactics used to fight this war were outdated and costly. The superior authority on both sides are known to have very little regard for the soldiers on the front line. Very sad war. Thanks for sharing some of these stories about these men.

Hi, Rob. Hope you are having a nice day.
I had heard of Rancourt before, but it still amazes me how close the cemeteries are close to each other.
I need to listen to the Old Front Line pod :).
Your discussion about how many German troops' bodies were repatriated reminded me of how I heard in a podcast ("Not so Quiet on the Western Front") that the British haven't repatriated bodies of British troops from WWI. I want to read more about this and am curious about the number of repatriations among other nations, like France, the U.S., and Germany.
    The chapel is well maintained.
Wow. It's amazing how there are almost 7,500 men buried in the mass graves. Sad how some of them are unidentified too.
Did you, Chris, Sander, and Marcel also visit Rancourt together also? It's been a few weeks since I saw Sander's video/vlog, but the British cemetery looks familiar.
Great information about the cemetery. I don't know that there are WWII graves as well.
It's sad that L.A. Reardon's grave is unknown.
The message on Private Buckingham's grave is powerful. It's sad how he and so many others died so young.
It was staggering to see so many graves at the French cemetery. I concur that it feels like the cemetery goes on indefinitely. I know that the battle was very bloody, but it's hard to process. Over 8,500 buried in this cemetery alone.
    The chapel is beautiful.
It does remind me though of something that I believe you mentioned in a recent video also (about more focus on British military campaigns than on French campaigns). I've learned more about the British and American campaigns than French military campaigns during the first World War and I'd definitely like to learn more about them.
Your videos often inspire me to read up more. This one has further inspired me to read up about French military campaigns during WWI and Jewish Germans who served during WWI.
    Superb video. Kudos!
    Take care.

No problem :) I meant if it is the same cemetery that you and other UA-camrs visited earlier in the year :) Keep up the good work :). Take care.

All Normal men who would if they were to meet in Peace time would have passed and maybe said hello to each other ? Normal men who would have had Mothers Fathers Brothers & sisters and children ? Normal men then because of leaders end up in a fight and pay the cost of war Its pathetic to think ? this sort of thing goes on and on ? And less then 1900miles away in Ukrainian the same fighting is going on today between Normal Men again?
