Hello, in this video I replace the ignitor electrodes, ignition module, knobs and thermometer in a Char Broil BBQ Grill Model #463214212. Replacement of these parts was due to a fire, which was not caused by the grill. The fire melted all electrical parts.
Parts used:
Knobs - G519-2100-W1
Ignition Module - G570-0021-W1
Main Burner Electrode - G515-0067-W1
Side Burner Electrode - G515-0039-W2
Sear Burner Electrode - G522-0020-W1
Temperature Gauge - G430-0022-W2
All Parts were bought through Charbroil. They have a great parts department. This video is not sponsored by Charbroil.
Always wear the proper safety equipment which can include but is not limited to: safety glasses, gloves and hearing protection
Thank you for watching!
Holy sh!t, so that's exactly what I'm looking for in a video short basic not overly informative. Friggin perfect!
That’s awesome! Glad I could help and thank you for the comment!
You did a good job! Thanks for listing the parts used. That helps a lot too.
Thank you very much! Im glad the video could help you out!
great video, I see I forgot to install my ignition metal box protector.
Thank you and simple fix!
Thanks bro! Looked everywhere for a guide like this! Sub'd!
Awesome! Thank you!
Can you tell me how you removed the sear burner from the back I’m having trouble removing it. Is there a screw? Thank you great video!
Im pretty sure theres a screw in the back of it holding it on. Sometimes it could be covered in rust or grease or rusted out making it hard to see. Take a wire brush to the back of the burner and clean it up. The screw should be easier to see then. Hope this helps. Thank you for watching.
Thanks for the help!!
No problem.
Does it matter which terminals you connect the two wires to?
Great question. I can’t recall but I dont think it does. Sorry I couldn’t be exact. Hope this helps.
"If I can't fix it, then I'll fix it so no one else can!" 🤣🤣🤣
You watched to the end! Haha. Thank you!
Thanks bro.
Not a problem. Glad I could help. Thank you for watching!
Have you ever experienced after replacing the bbq electrodes, where all of them sparks but can’t seem to ignite to fire it up? It lights up ok if I manually used with a lighter
Great question! I have never experienced that.
Are your burners okay or are they rotted out and need replacement?
Burners look ok and not rusted out too
Okay. Do you have visible spark where the ignitors meet the burners?
@@JustaDude123 yah pretty strong spark bud. However the needle tip of the new electrode i got is about 1/2 inch shorter than the original. But shouldn’t be an issue right coz where the tip is points to a hole in the burner. Does it also matter if i place the lead plug on a different location on the ignitor module like i literally got it jumbled up. Thanks
My igniter ignites the burner on the side, but not the main grill. Is there a clog somewhere?
Great question. Theres a lot of things that can happen. There could be a problem with the module, the wires or the probes. Can you see sparks on the ignitor probes on the main grill?
Hi there and Tnx for the video. I also have a question. I have a 2005 barbeques galore turbo .. and the igniter has gone out. Would you happen to know who sells aftermarket parts or what other options besides buying new lol might I have? Ty again.
Great question. Without seeing the part or knowing the part number, its hard to tell. I did do a quick google search of “barbeques galore turbo ignitor” and it took me to www.bbqgalore.com. The ignitors there ranged from about $10 to $50. Im sure if you call them youd be able to get the exact part you need. Sometimes its better to pay a little more and get the exact part you need the first time. Hope this helps. Thank you for the comment. Please like and subscribe.
I liked and subscribed because I very much appreciate your knowledge and getting right back to me.. thank you. Gonna look thar up right now.
Thank you very much!
GREAT video! I had a grease fire and now the ignitor isn't working 😡
Thank you! Hopefully you can get that grill up and running soon!
I wish I had watched this before attempting it myself. I pulled the old wires out without using the string. Now I can’t figure out how to run the new wires.
Ugh. That stinks. Can you fish a piece of wire or a coat hanger through there?
DUDE !!🍻
Thank you! Glad I could help.
Faulty propane tank????
Great question! It wasn’t my bbq but I think the o-ring on the propane tank was cracked.
@@JustaDude123 Thanks, very very possible. I have worked for a smaller mom and pop company for 21 years. Really liked the video, helped me to change our electronic ignighter.
Awesome! Glad I could help. Sometimes its just that one little thing.
👍
Thank you!
