just listening to his voice makes me feel so soothed. I don't even have a African gray pair. I don't know why I'm watching this, but I'm going to finish it. His voice and the content is so interesting. lol
Great job! I would love to get more professional tips and secrets to choosing the right pair and creating proper and best conditions for their breeding. It is a pity there are no Yellow-fronted and Niam-Niam in the collection :)
I have 2 pair, banded Congo Greys, red factor, I end up bagging 2/3rd's of my Kaytee feed, mostly corn/safflower seeds/,black oil sunflower seeds, from daily feedings. should I winnow the chaffe and reuse, should I try to sprout these leftovers, and use for feed? Suggestions are welcome.
I know this is an older film but I can't agree with clipping flight feather especially in such a cruel fashion birds wing's are not only used flight but balance as well so to lop off the end of 1 wing is discussing i keep macaw s and they all have there full wing's why because I got birds not cats birds fly cats don't as long as there free flight trained and a harnes and line along with a radio tag you have to take the risk and theres always risks but with proper training all risks can be managed....
I feel the same and have been saying it for years ,if flight gives you anxiety get a dog,I'm looking for a Macaw chick but I only seem to be finding scam,I wan't a full papered bird for exactly that free flight training I plan to have this bird for the rest of my Life,I found a pigeon who lost a wing, kids put 1 of those loom bands on it by the time I picked him up it was gone so I see the pain a once flighted bird goes through when flight is taken away..poor guy dream's of flying ,states flapping knocks him self off his perch and ends up on the wingless side as it's his light side going round in circles, because I'm looking for a chick he went to the vet , Im chuffed the vet said he is the picture of health and she couldn't get over how well he is doing..he had all his bloods and he is a he and free of sickness, she was surprised when I said how old he is we've had him 5 yrs and he was no spring chicken when I found him, even before I found him I was seeing wild pigeon in Dublin missing feet and toes ,it's disgusting and more birds with these bands on there feet ,ppl think I am notts but I don't care I buy a bag of pigeon food and feed them they land on my hands when there's enough and catch and take off elastic bands off birds feet ,but no matter how many I take off ,more banded birds turn up it's never ending ,ppl need to talk to there kid's it's not ok..
Great video, if a little dated info on wing clipping. Sadly the seller of our bird clipped like this and our poor bird crashes badly to the floor while we wait for them to grow back in. Not sure if you're still married, but wow your wife was really vile to you how she spoke to you. Can't imagine this didn't end in divorce!!
I have noticed a hilarious mistake in this film: the two lovely Jardine's parrots featured are described as being representatives of the nominate form. In fact, one is a Lesser Jardine's (paler orange markings) and the other is a Greater Jardine's (smaller head and beak). The nominate or 'black-winged' form is not featured at all! Hahahahahahaha!
Parrots usually bond to one person and doesn't do good with others whether owner passes or rehomes the bird. Please get out of your feelings and do some research
@@pskizzy04 wrong parrot are social animals and will learn to get along with new owners and its not normal for parrot to bond to 1 person its a must to break that bond and make it interact with everyone
I hope you're still with us in this day and age. It was such a lovely documentary so thank you from west Yorkshire!!

How about some chicken nuggets and or French fries my grey sure loveshis happymeals ?
Those cages look so mean
As the Vet said Mature Active and ready to go.....Hmmm... The Bird you put in the Carrier was not ready to go or Mature, it was a young one.
Also the Bird he put in the box was a Cock with a black Ring not hen. With a gold ring.
Black eyes depicting it as a juvenile
My cousin's girlfriend has one of these

Don't breed any kind of parrot. There are already too many in captivity. Adopt a bird that someone is re-homing. Please.
why not breed ? African greys are almost becoming extinct, they’re threatened. I think you should research first before making a statement.
