I had my first curds at a Culver's on a road trip. I think that was the first time I didn't finish my burger because I was full from the side dish.

Although it may be "national" cheese curd day, most people in this nation probably don't know what a cheese curd is, and have never heard of Culver's. I sort of feel bad for them.
Glad to see that Culver’s has expanded in the southeast. Not enough locations yet, but I doubt any will ever close their doors for lack of customers
Cottage cheese is curds and whey. Take the whey away and make the curds larger and there they are.
I am from NC, I had never seen nor heard of cheese curds ( other than cottage cheese) or Culver’s until I moved to Indiana.

Culver’s built a location near me a few years ago, my favorite fast food, always fresh, warm, and delicious. The best thing is it’s my curd connection!! Michigan loves Culver’s and curds
When I was in grade school outside of Milwaukee, I remember taking a field trip to the dairy and seeing the cheese curds being made. To this day that memory makes me smile.
I miss Culver’s so much! When I was in Wisconsin I effing loved that place. Now I’m back in Texas. Mourning.

@@recoveringsoul755 It's just a young cheddar, one that hasn't been aged at all. These curds are separated from the whey during the cheesemaking process, and instead of being molded for a future cheese wheel, they're sliced up and bagged to be sold right away.

Not from Wisconsin but my wife's family is. Culver's curds are my least favorite that I've had in my Wisconsin travels.

So I was up in St. Croix Falls Wisconsin on 9/11/21, and there were NO curds to be found on any shelves in the area. I live in the South and had NO IDEA Culver's had curds on their menu.
