- Welcome to the West Virginia Marble Collectors Club marble show from May, 2022 in Mineral Wells, West Virginia.
In this video we take a lap around the showroom floor to look at and discuss the marbles, and marble-related items for sale.
We chat with some of the vendors and discuss what to expect when you attend a similar show or event.
Marble maker Sammy Hogue demonstrates the 1940 Peltier Peewee marble machine, and we get a good look at his contemporary handmade glass art marbles.
We look at terrific and collectible examples of West Virginia Swirl marbles including Alley, Heaton and more modern JABO contract run examples.
You will meet lots of great marbles people from the WVMCC here, and they share some of their stories and present their “display” and “for sale” marbles. 🔴

I am so envious of all of the marble knowledge that exists in that area of the country. My area of California is a marble collecting black hole! So, I rely heavily on videos like this to gain information and connect with the greater marble collecting world. Thank you, Stephen, for providing another fabulous video.

We had a blast at this show. Great people with a wealth of knowledge. I am making cases to display my marbles and will have some for sale. All made out of 200 year old ax hun oak barn boards. You won’t have to edit out the disaster table next time 🤣🤣🤣😂😂😂✌️✌️

You probably do ! There’s a 3 day marble festival In Pigeon Forge Tenn. every spring called “Marbles in the Mountains “ . Do a web search on it and you’ll probably find it !

Will you be at the canton OH show in a month?
As to how much you should bring to a marble show, well I always wish I had 60 grand to take to a show… but I only take around 1k, which is small fries compared to what many spend. I’ve known some who have spent around 15k at marble shows. I was at this show and so wish I could have just bought everything lol.
I won’t be at the Canton show. It totally depends on your budget. I try to keep my spending under 300.00 and just go for a couple high end pieces . I totally recommend In-room trading , so you can scoop them up early. Have fun!

I don't really see a video on UA-cam on how to play marbles.
Hmmm I think I saw a few, I’m planning on going to the National Marbles Tournament in NJ this fall and doing a Ringer tutorial with some of those folks.
Is there any possibility to buy U.S. marbles for us Europeans? Because i would. I know ebay or etsy would be an option but i would rather buy direct from these guys. And i wonder, i never made a video for youtube but i am thinking of making a video of my small, not that impressive i think, collection.
Hi Michel , besides EBay: you’re best bet is to try to strike up deals with American collectors on Facebook or the other internet marbles pages.

Stephen, may i suggest to film a little slower? Sometimes it is so hard to see all marbles when you film a stand.

Yes hopefully someday. I live in New Jersey and have a full-time job. It’s tough for me to do much extensive traveling .
