Stephen, first you’re so lucky to meet all these special people that have AMAZING collections. Second, you do a great job maintaining a “poker face” bc I bet it’s difficult to contain the excitement when you see these collections first hand. I’d be like the Coco Puff bird waaaahoooo COCO PUFFS bouncing off the walls. They’d call the cops🤣🤣
Jeez Louise!! Nola has an incredible collection!! The collection of Alley's is insane.. Thanks for another great video Stephen and thankyou Nola for allowing us to view your collection..
I’m thinking I couldn’t afford one of those marble cases much less a marble like any of those. It amazes me to the extent marble collecting can go. They are just amazing. I hope those marbles wind up in a museum one day because I would bet a dollar they’ll never be up for sell or auction. Well maybe auction. If I were a rich man, lol. Thanks to you and the people who invited us in to see their one of a kind collection. Wonderful video.
I love your channel Stephen…! What an amazing collection….! You and Ron are just a wealth of knowledge…! As a fairly new collector, I really appreciate your channel…✌️❤️
I'm a retired roofing contractor. Every now and then when the men cleaned up the ground they would run across one. But the trouble was just 1 or 2 a year. In fact the ones I had got lost somewhere as I didn't see them when I moved out of the state.I just love old marbles.
You always have the most incredible arrays of marbles on display. Colours and patterns I barely thought existed 😂 I loved seeing them all together I’m boxes with the translucent style ones x
Awesome. Overwhelming collection, could probably make several videos on this. I'm amazed by how many cases there are, that's a big investment just in cases.
Hi, thanks to you all, such a mind boggling collection. Breathtakingly beautiful. Great video. I'm a new subscriber. I found a random bag of marbles at a garage sale in Germany. It was called a village flea market where people put out stuff to sell. I vaguely know that marbles are collectable and bought the lot. To me they are beautiful. I don't have any knowledge about the collection of marbles. I think it can get quite addictive.
Hi Janine and welcome to the hobby! It certainly can become addictive, especially if you have an appreciation for art, color and glass. If you are from Germany you are in the right place for antique German handmade swirls, which are probably the most collectable of all glass marbles. Enjoy and thank you for the comment!
@@stephenbahrmarbles Yes, that sums it up. I definately love art, colour and art. I studied and did art at school so these little creations appeal to my love of beautiful glass. I live in Germany now. Thank you for letting me know and replying.
Great video! Love seeing whole displays of the same company together, for learning "the look". Some are sooo different, I would swear they were made by someone else! It's March now, so I'm watching the river level.. It's almost "Marble Season!" 😃 ❤️ Thanks for the video!
I can't believe how many different kinds of marbles there are, but more amazing is that folks can identify them! I'm going to go look at some of the marbles I have!👀
I thought I had a big collection, mines not even 1/40th of that probably. On another note, those bloody skies are amazing, found my first one 2 weeks ago in a jar with a load of Akro oxlblood patches. Her alley collection is simply amazing, I'll have to watch this video a bunch of times to try and identify some of my swirls which I dont know where to place. Must have been amazing to dig at alley, pretty much the only way to end up with a collection like this unless you want to spend 100k.
Love these videos man! Filled with so much invaluable information! Cracked up when Ron's voice dropped and said "It's a boulder..." 🤣 Been trying to break that habit myself recently!
Love all your videos Stephen! Nola has an amazing collection! I bought a jar of antique marbles off an old lady and trying to learn what they are. A few got me stumped but look similar to the vitro fingers. Dark blue glass ones with various color stripes. Maybe I will make a UA-cam for help
Is it strange that i only collect flawless marbles? I do not mind roll marks or blow-out holes. And i have a sneaky suspicion i have some American marbles here in Holland. Thanks Stephen, you and all other collectors taught me a lot. Maybe i am going to try to organize a meeting here in the Netherlands. 18 million people, there must be more collectors like me.
Hi Michel it’s not uncommon to collect only mint examples. I would love to go to a European Marble Show , hopefully you can organize one ! I imagine there would be plenty of interest.
I told my senior neighbour, a woman, that i collected marbles. Like everybody she was suprised. So she bought maybe 1 kilo old marbles, just once. Result: 2 sulfides and a onion-skin in perfect condition....I was so sour. I don,t have those after buying hundreds of kilo,s and she scores.
I have the collection from my childhood, I’m 74 and would like to sell what I have. How do I go about contacting someone I could trust to give me the fair value of what they’re worth?
That’s a little out of my wheelhouse. …You might want to go to an auction/ estate dealer in your area , or I would suggest Blocks Marble Auctions online.
Hi Kevin. A collection like this would most likely go to auction, it would out of any one single person’s price range. It’s probably worth several hundreds of thousands of dollars. We never got around to filming her Christensens, Akros and others.
@@stephenbahrmarbles there are some very nice marbles though. I only keep what I find. There mostly damaged, I can use them for other projects. I just wish I had a collection like that, or yours... I do have some that have an orange glow though, yaaay! Don't know what they are though.
This is an INCREDIBLE collection! I can watch this over and over again! "Nola, you're a baaddd girl"!

Nola's collection made me cry -
Absolutely BEAUTIFUL!!!
It’s quite a spectacle no doubt about it!

jaw-dropping marbles...OMG
These are priceless...and the only bad thing is marbles like this will almost never be found in the wild again. Can you imagine!!
@@stephenbahrmarbles I will never have that kinda money! LOL...I just love looking! Thank you for sharing Stephen! (Mo Strader)

Awesome makes my collection look like a Rookie. Keep making these videos Stephen it keeps me motivated on searching for more marbles.
Amazing, Stephen! You have been very fortunate to see some incredible collections -- and Nola's is one of the best!
😍😮😯 I bought some marbles from a charity shop for £1 , looking at your collection I know I have 4 valueble ones. So interesting and beautiful 🙂
Very cool Anne congratulations! Hopefully you got some vintage European models ! 🔴

That sounds like it is possible. A caged style cat’s eye would be likely as well , since they are much more abundant. I will look for your video.

It's so difficult for me to come across Alleys in this good of a condition. They have so many nice ones.
Wow
Nola… you have a problem! Lol
Let me help you straighten up and make some space! I’m just going to back my truck up to house…
😂 It’s a good problem to have !
Where do you get the cases to display them all
A lot of those are “Riker Display Cases” you can find them on Amazon, EBay and probably places like Target etc..
I sold a 8 finger last year in the turqoise and clear color didn’t know it was that rare 😂
Oops! Once in a while you get “seller’s regret” I suppose. Now at least you know ✅
