I've enjoyed your reactions a lot and appreciate the signal boost. Though the cuts for CRC dodging are a little unfortunate. I didn't cosider anyone would stream them so I was pretty liberal with the video clips and the backing music. Maybe I'll have to keep that in mind next time.
FYI, the ending song was from Jim Hensons Dinosaurs.

But don't worry about the clips or music you use. Just do what fits (and doesn't get the vid blocked 😁). I'm just paranoid about leaving claims ever since one was upgraded to a strike a couple months later (only happened twice, but it REALLY freaked me out).

Blackwargreymon was so focused on the differences of his birth that he didn't realize he is still a Digimon, born from data, he still feels pain, confusion and hunger. And Agumon in his own simple way showed him that.
We are both confused. Meaning if you didn't have something like a heart you wouldn't be asking such things let alone feel so emotional about it.
The fact that they threw such a hard line at us when we were 6 is both impressive and dumb😅
26:40 i can't speak for everyone. but from what i seen while watching it as it came out.
1) people loved the Return to form with the Evo-animations. but a few people did notice there was becoming a Pattern. some episodes felt like they where wrote in away to force a specific Evos. almost like they had a Quota to use at least 1 in every episode and rotate them equality. this is most noticeable when they Acknowledge Warp-Digivolve, made an edited version of the standard Animation. and needed to introduce them 1 per episode. they legit made "Filler" episodes to showcase the Skipped Evo Chain. and it wasn't even to the Detail of OG Series 1
2) due to the slow pacing, people had a heyday with the analyzing and theorizing. problem is... it all meant nothing, because the story was ultimately less ambitious then people thought. we didn't even know it was over, until it was over... the last 3 episodes felt like the begining of the last or 2nd last arc... but nope. 3 episode finale that felt like it was going to be a whole arc... people wheren't minding the slow burn (at least in english) we are use to what is called "Chekhov's Firing Squad" where the story builds up a ton of loose threads only to rapid fire tie them up... but there was none of that... there is legit Designs for Gammamon/Gulusmon Evos that went unused. The Tamagachi side of Digimon went the extra step to design a Joingress/DNA-Digivolve of Gamma and Gulus.
the whole thing in retrospective, does feel like how Deep Dive put it. a "Communication Error" the plot never contradicts itself, but it never commits or finishes anything it does say... and the fact it had 67 episodes, is just a gut punch for anyone who knows the pain of a 12 episode cliffhanger... like how did you do less, with 5 times as many episodes as other shows?
i can't even say i'm disappointed or frustrated.... just confused...
On the topic of mass murder in Digimon. While it is true the reincarnation system is in Adventure, it gets cut off later on so they cannot reincarnate. Tamers didn’t have that at all and the data gets absorbed into the victor, and even Frontier which does have that system can be mitigated by the fact that data absorption is still a thing on a worldwide scale so if they do survive there’s not much world left to live on.
Spoilers:
After the Primary Village gets destroyed death becomes permanent. It’s genuinely kinda tragic that the Frontier Digi-destined kind of failed at “saving” the digital world. They more kind of avenged it and then left behind a spark of hope as all the data returns to remake the digital world before they were shunted out.
Same with Tamers or Cyber Sleuth. The digital world gets almost wiped out several times in the franchise.
Dont forget Savers where a human designs a digimon specifically made to kill in a way so no one can regenerate!

And don''t forget the Real world issue with Adventure if a Mon dies in the real world it will not reincarnate thus we had the Wizardmon and Myotismon issue that carry over to Adventure 02 and when Myotismon died in that distortion dream world he could not reincarnate cus he was not in the digital world boarder just outside of it

I feel like Digimon death does tend to differ between series, sometimes they'll reconfigure elsewhere as an egg, sometimes the egg will form immediately where they fell, sometimes the victor will consume the loose data for power, then you have the artificial Gizumon in Data Squad that induce perma-death on digimon, and then there's an interesting take with Fusion/Xros Wars where many defeated digimon end up in limbo and their fate can be affected by those who control the code of the world, and in Hunters, there's less death, and more of the defeated Digimon being uploaded into the hunter's device and added to their collection where they can be called upon for battle or fusion material

How could I forget!? The “Serious” song from Siriusmon’s bit is from Teen Titans Go. A whole episode that was basically a Young Justice parody.

03:17 : That might be a Dub-ism as Digimon Adventure and Adventure 02 American dub (and dubs derived from it *Cough* La VF *cough* ) is cut from same cloth as the Yugioh and Pokémon dubs who shoehorned jokes. Alternatively this could just be as weird in Japanese.

10:28: Funny you should mention that .... this show has used final bosses like MoonMilleniumon and Quartzmon as monsters of the week. Very dangerous monsters of the week in the tail end of the show but still.
14:26 : It's not the cannon song, the digivolution theme for the Mega level is "Makuake" and it slaps.
18:33 : I think it had more to do with the brits just giving boiler plate independence without taking into considerations the specificities of each of their soon to be former colonies.
It's 100% the dub, the scene had some comical bits to it with Agumon struggling to give advice to BlackWarGreymon in such a difficult matter, but the overall tone was completely different in the original.

One of the things that pissed me off about ghost game. Is that we could have had a 4th pair but because of a misunderstanding that never got resolved happened. It's like why do you do this? Ghost game tried but it dropped the ball
