Kenna your courage to leave is so inspirational. I’m so glad you had Francisco to help you. Leaving abusive parents is hard and feels like an impossible thing to do. You are worried about what will happen to them if someone finds out about the abuse and what will happen to you. Where will you go? The fear of what’s next and potential repercussions you feel as a kid is paralyzing and often keeps kids from reaching out for help. I hope your story helps young girls in particular to understand they can leave because they deserve to. Thank you for sharing
Kenna, ma'am you are very inspirational. I am glad god put francisco in your path and got away from the abuse. It's crazy to see that i have the same defense mechanism of laughing to help protect. You are a strong woman, and i hope your kids get to see that. Many older generations would get beat worse than we did, so i am glad you tried to heal yourself and not pass that to your kids. I dont know you personally, but i am proud of you and the woman you have become. I hope this episode reaches someone who needs that small push of encouragement to take that step.
Wow. I didn't know you lived in Wichita KS. I live in Topeka. I'm so grateful to hear your story. Your so brave. Congratulations for getting out of your abusive relationship and Thank God you met Francisco
Your story resonated so much. You are so brave for talking about, I know that is very difficult to do. Laughing is a form of our defense mechanism it helps us survive and talk about difficult situations.
Awww Kenna I’m so sorry that happened to you 🤗🥹you have become a better person , a better mommy because of it. Blessings to you and Cisco and your family 🙏🏻❤️
First time watching your livestream. I commend you for your vulnerability and strength. Thank you for sharing - you’re very relatable as I’m sure many of your viewers like myself had a trouble childhood as well. Looking forward to the next video. Blessing to you and your family ❤
This was so powerful... thank you for sharing. I am happy that you broke the vicious cycle of abuse & continue to show & teach your children that there is a better way. Blessings to both of you & your beautiful family.
Can’t we get a part 2?! How life is now with your family, how was it after you left, how has your childhood affected you as an adult. Your story is heart wrenching I can’t believe you went thru all that. ❤ you more now
I just want to say Kenna your a warrior thank you for being so open and real. I honestly got emotional when I saw you cry. What you had to endure was painful but I am so glad your in a better place now. God Bless you and your family.
KENNA I LOVE YOU ❤ I FREAKING LOVE YOU ❤ IM SO SO SAD RIGHT NOW SOBBING 😭 BECAUSE I WENT THROUGH THAT TOO, OMG ITS A HUGE TRAUMA. I CAN RELATE. I JUST WISH I COULD BE INVITED TO YALLS PODCAST TO TALK ABOUT MY STORY 😢
I love Kenna and I love her even more now…shes so brave and sweet. Also besides all the negative aspects of her experience with her parents, she is such a great mom from what i could tell! ❤❤
Kenna my heart hurts for you as to the way you grew up But you were blessed not lucky For your husband and family u have now GOD KNEW WHAT YOU NEEDED and just like us Hispanics your MIL welcomed you from the beginning I'm happy for you your life with Sisco I love you guys MAY GOD CONTINUE TO BLESS YOU AND YOUR BABIES 🙏🙏🙏🫶🫶🫶Hugs from Seguin Texas
Kenna wow this episode made me admire you even so much, getting to you know in this deep level was amazing. You are such a strong woman, beautiful and such a beautiful soul even after everything you went through
Kenna, I’m so happy that you were able to get out of that environment. I have friend whom I’ve known since she was in her early 20s, she’s now in her mid 30s and sadly is still living that life with her manipulative & abusive dad. I hope that one day she’s able to find a way out but I know it’s hard to go against her dad and to see the self worth she has when growing up they beat it out of you. I hope she can one day say enough is enough like you did.
Wow, I didn't know she went through all of that. I didn't even know her story. 🥹💔 I wish all the best for her and her family. She's such a beautiful soul and deserves all the beautiful things in the world. God bless her, and hopefully, she will heal soon from all the trauma she went through. ❤
I am sorry you went through that. We all have our limits on what we tolerate. The headline should read specifically to your household. There are many loving, warm Muslim families all over the world.
Wow what a story Kenna it took bravery to share your story your personal story, and wow I'm shocked like everyone here that you had to go tru that. Ma boy sissco here sure is making it better . Bless you guys and can't wait to hear part 2 of this episode. God bless you guys and your family too.
Thank you for sharing your story and being so transparent. Looking forward to future episodes and would also love to see your family dynamic being an interracial couple. This is a dynamic many can relate to as well as my wife and I. Buena suerte a los dos en sus futuros!!
I rarely comment on these things but I had to speak on your bravery here. This could not have been easy to share, Thank you for your vulnerability. I come from a very messed up childhood and now as a mom myself I could never imagine how anyone could hurt a child let alone your own child. This hit different. Thank you for sharing. 🫶🏼
Thank you for sharing your story and such intimate parts of your life. My heart goes out to you, Kenna. I pray God brings healing to your heart and that you seek therapy. You have buried this trauma, and it's completely understandable. I'm so glad you found your husband and that chains continue to break in Jesus name. My prayers for you and your beautiful little family ❤
Thank you for sharing your story Kenna ❤ I love that you opened up about your story because I feel like you get so much hate on all your skits and it's just not right. I love your videos you guys are funny and RELATABLE!! ❤
What a great episode. You two really compliment each other. I thoroughly enjoyed this episode, a lot of insight on Zekenna's life. I love the person she is, and I also love the character she plays in your skits. This was an eye opener. I can't wait for the next episode. I have so many questions!!!! Cisco, do you have a relationship with her side of the family? (There are skits with Zekenna with your family, but I really have never seen any interaction (except for maybe one) that includes her mother and sister.) Have you ever been face to face with her father? Do you have a relationship with her siblings; including her brother she speaks about. Maybe you can answer my questions in your next podcast; I wouldn't expect you to answer them here in the comments. I love the both of you, you guys make me laugh, you bring good vibes (even the skits that she's pissed off at you). You two are funny and I GET YOU!!!!!! God bless you both and your little family. You're the best!
Thanks for sharing!! Very inspirational and its important to share and im sire yiu helped many many people. For abusive individuals its nit easy to aks for help not only for telling on your parents but soo many other reasons. As your children age, remember the comment about parenrs reaching out to them. Something i need to do more. Again thank you!
😢 This was tough to listen to. You have all my respect Kenna. Glad you are breaking that generational curse. I’m hoping your siblings were able to do the same. ❤
Cisco, get off your phone. Kenna, I hear you. You did it girl. You manifested your life. Keep doing it. You’re doing a great job. Cisco you are her knight and shining armor. Keep that up! You both need each other in so many ways!
It's unfortunate but most men in that kind of religious upbringing treat their children and wives that way. No real love and detached from any real emotional connection. Not all but most . I'm glad she talked about it. Hopefully it can help some of the young girls going through something similar.
My love and hugs go to you!! You went through a lot and I will keep you in my prayers and praying that you can forgive, forgiveness is not for the person that hurt you is for your freedom in God the Fathers love also know that when you forgive it doesn’t mean that you are to reconcile is just to free yourself from that jail and you have the key!! Love you in the love of Jesus Christ. I am from Wichita Kansas and currently reside here in Wichita Ks🎉❤
Now that you guys are in Riverside I say you guys should visit Sandals church pastor Matt has changed my life my heart breaks Saki a this has been the best video ever I and glad to see her breaking those curses
Keena i think is trying to forget that sad part of her childhood. It seems like she forgets a lot of her experiences growing up. I think most abused children are that way, as a defense mechanism. There’s a lot of bad things happened to her childhood that she’s holding back. But I’m glad she’s able to get out of that toxic environment.
I absolutely admire how well you guys come together after really hard backgrounds thank you for being the change that we need in this world many don’t have the courage to make that change so I admire you both and I am a new subscriber🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Omggg, I lost my shit just hearing Sakeena say her father til this day believes he was a great father, she described my father and he’s 80 😭 it’s so disgusting, and we are strong because I personally still take care of him.
I’m happy you guys found each other. This one was definitely triggering. You need to love this woman my boy, and I wish your family the best. Btw does she have a prima? I’m asking for a friend without papers? lol
Awwww. Her laugh made me sad. Seems like it is her defense mechanism. Big hug to her. Hope she has healed her traumas.
I thought the samw thing…
Kenna, I'm glad you shared your story. Lots of people will see this and realize there is hope and not to give up. You two are adorable together. ❤❤❤
You both seem to love each other very much,so keep growing with this love. Never let it go.❤
