Yeah "coolant" and "oil pan" doesn't go together apparently...as I'm told.
My first check would be oil cooler/heat exchanger usually before leaping to “engine’s f***ed” … easiest opportunity for oil and coolant to mingle. Sadly not just the oil cooler in this case though… One properly fooked engine!

Appreciate it. Just changed a lower radiator hose that split. I added 2 containers of coolant. Now it's all but gone. No visible leaks. Any idea where it's going?
May want to check if the trans is all milky from the trans cooler and if you have a hybrid the heat exchanger in the exhaust
@@theoffroadingmechanic Appreciate it. Ill take a look. Noticed my driver side carpet is wet today. Under the floor mat. Starting around the pedal area coolant is about empty . Coolant light illuminated now.

What did you wind up doing about the eroded surfaces on the block?
Got a new short block under warranty.
@@theoffroadingmechanic I'm still on my first engine in a 17 Santa Fe with 110,000 miles on it. I must be lucky. It's really consuming a lot of oil though. 5,000 MI interval go through one quart.
@@CaptainNero does it happen to be a turbo or non turbo?
@@theoffroadingmechanic 2.4
@@CaptainNero that's not to bad I've seen way more consumption and we do 6k kms intervals.
