If I was the game winner, and if the goddess would let me make a wish, I'd choose to resurrect the dead paladin too... I admire the warrior lady's wish.
The battle... was very, very cool. A Paladin becomes the archetypal martyr, the Bard finally becomes useful (and has a battle in which he doesn't die), and the roleplayer of the group is the one who defeats the BBEG. Made of win.

Lol, I totally agree! He really captured the corrupted follower of the Light really well. When I saw his performance, I thought, "man, he's more power hungry than Lord Voldemort!"
is there any way I can get my hands on the hymn to Therin? The one with the bard singing that goes into the goddess scene. Great song.

@alloriginal Not to mention, many DMs I have do take parts of your OOC to IC. So sitting there rubbing your chin and going "Hmmm... what is the best possible wish I can make?" will go "Your goddess shakes her head at your greed, seeing a sudden depraved nature of your being" because whenyou think, if its more "What would my character do?" my DMs would allow it, but when its trying to meta game, you do get that penalized :p
@alloriginal But again, taking time to think wouldn't quite fit her character. Roleplay isn't about winning teh game. It is about playing your character. Heck, many times I play a very weak Cleric who has high diplomacy as her only strength. She doesn't always end up on top of a situation. I play to see what happens to the character I made and how her flaws and talents get her through the world. Not how awesome she can become and how many +2 Daggers she can horde.,

the ovious way would be to use the water on osric that way she cud av wished for something cool for the party but i suppose for story purposes i suppose it fits to ressurect the paladin i like the way while osric was begin lightninging by the presit the bard was thinknig hmmmmm how did that go again? lol funny!
@jilloplo It's a joke that only mormons are probably meant to get. It's not a very good one though. I had to rewind like ten times to make sure i heard right.
The joke is poking fun at the fact we beleive the righteous will become Gods as well, each with our own world and children to send down, and then they too become gods and so on and so forth.

Yeah i know what you mean, i guess it's the curse of the plot convinience :D kind of like when you play an rpg and you can't kill the guy you just know will betray you. "Ok i walk into this room and" BAM! "oh look that guy closed the door behind us and posionos gas is filling the room, who saw that one coming?" XD
Thats what annoys me about any game where death can be cured by a potion, spell, etc...
For example. Every anime fan cried when Aeries dies in FF7... I was the only one sitting there going "So WHAT did I buy 99 Phoenix Downs for?" or when a king dies via normal weapons in DnD "Why won't a 'Raise Dead' spell work here?" XD
Ummmm there was that water that rezzed the bard....and she wished the pally back to life because she said that is what her character would do....but her character knew they could rezz him without using her wish....so....she really could have wished for whatever and it would be fine...

On that note, I'd like to quote from Venture Brothers; "If you have accident prone children you make them wear a helmet. If you have death prone chldren you keep a few clones of them in your lab." I think the same general idea stands true here. :P
0:25 epic face and the priest in the red robe isnt that the bard cause they were hiding the bards face and 3:18 the monk and wish for more wishes first lol and also 8:40 the music in the backround the bard should have been playing and i geuss the godess was trapped in that staff at the top ball part

Well, she was the best roleplayer for the game. Granted, the bard got kind of a bum rap and a streak of bad-luck-deaths, but she still was the better gamer. That, and giving an infinate wish spell to any other of them would have been a bad idea.
This final scene is just epic... sorry to say that but as a DM I must just say... it's epic... well made scene
i would have wished to have the ability to give unlimited wishes, came back to earth and then filled the wishes of my party so they could all have maxed stats and all the equipment in the books + lightsabers and shotguns
People may say what they want, i always put the party in front of everything. Dosn't matter if it is an NPC or an actuall player i always put them first and foremost no matter the cost. Companions before loot and power! :D

This was a real d&d adventure all the way. I love how you have all these classic player RL charactr archetypes. All of you do an awesome job. SCA much? IFGS? Amtgard? You are like the next level of larpers lol
Vanessa Philipp. I think she was the lead make up person. I was totally Trolling online to find out. Hands down my favorite part of dorkness rising. not that the sweaty nerds werent charming..
@alloriginal Orrrrrrr you cannot roleplay judging by your anger at a "Wasted Wish" seeing as her characters trait is putting others before herself. You seem to be more like the monk in this case :p
i need to side with Kass on this one. there are so many better things to wish for than bringing an NPC back to life. I do think however that he shouldn't have freaked out like that.

@ainumahtar To force her to stay good. If a cleric strays to far from their diety, she/he loses their powers and anything but Weapon, Armor and Knowledge areas.
By far one of the best productions I've seen on youtube in a while. Eagerly awaiting The Gamers #3, now. And wandering off to buy a copy of the DVD...
it seems wierd that she brought back osric by the wish.... shes in therins temple... bring back osric the same way they brought flinn back 2 life.....
I still like that ending.
Hope they get this movie back over here in the Uk soon I really want to see what else is on the dvd especially the commentary!
There are two scenes in this film that were definately inspired from Evil Dead and Return of The Jedi (not talking about undead or lightsabers).

I realliy liked the reveal of the hierophant as the villain. I think it was a cool climax,also the actor wasn't bad at all.
Awww, didn't the fighter... whatever her name was... get any bonus game reward? I mean, I know she got the wish but...
