Hi, I just got mine this week and it sounds great, although I've only heard it (on its own) into my audio interface at the moment.
Try a reset or look at the filtering, other people say that the filters can remove the top or bottom end of your sounds.

I had difficulty too. I sold mine but recently repurchased. One of my issues was that my amp has a parallel fx loop (which I hate), so I could never get the full sound I wanted. I have an hx stomp now so I'm hoping that the addition of amp modelling will open up a new sound. If not, well, I've still got something Devin uses lol.

@@TheSanctionextremis i also switched to helix, i got the flagship unit :) sounds great on its own with modeling, and it works great with fender tube amps, still prefer tubes if theyre available.. i dont get what you mean with the fx loop though. if you dont like it, you can always just go in the front of the amp? for clean or cleanish sounds that works great for me, and live overdrive from effects is more than good enough too :)

@@timowiedmer2991 I could go front of amp, but with the stomp, high gain amps don't sound good. Front of amp is nice for a fair share of things the stomp does.
I did figure the ocean machine out. I didn't have it set up as stereo. I have it in the HX as a stereo loop and I used some of the ocean machine pass filters and I'm quite happy :)

    Sounds like a tone sucker.

Do you have an example of something similar, but without tone-sucking?
