For starting fires we would always scrape our blue jeans with a pocket knife to get a small ball of cotton fuzz - ignites with a spark pretty easily. Catch a spark in that, put the smoldering fuzz into the middle of a wad of the bark, etc. stuff like you showed. If you have that ready on the end of a couple of feet of twine you can twirl it around a few times and usually lights right off. Then, stick it into your waiting fire wood build.
Fantastic video! Thanks for sharing! 👍
My poor case has sucked so much bad gas over the years I know I should be doing this also.
I would love to see more about the backhoe.i have the same one I believe
Great video thanks... I have the same carb, just wondering do you know if this carb is replaceable with a newer modern carb? I had to replace the bottom part of this carb, it took me a long time to find this part.
i'm sure there are new carbs that fit on this. I don't know from experience, however.
ive cleaned many carbs without replacing gaskets or buying kits. 2 stroke carbs would be the exception with ethanol fuels drying everything out
yup, those diaphragms can be delicate!
That feller is correct...spend 30 or more bucks for a gasket...which I have. I hate making gaskets. I'll spray soak the gasket with silicone spray so it doesn't stick as well for next cleaning
Thank you. Have the same carb.
For tinder, try cattails
he said he has a girlfriend so i doubt thats necessary
@@73DiamondReo ha. he asked about tinder for use when starting a fire with a bow drill
thanks!
Any one know a good link for replacement floats?
