- - About Jordan Peterson - -
Jordan B. Peterson (born 12 June 1962) is a Canadian professor of psychology, clinical psychologist, UA-cam personality, and author. He began to receive widespread attention in the late 2010s for his views on cultural and political issues, often described as conservative.
Born and raised in Alberta, Peterson obtained bachelor's degrees in political science and psychology from the University of Alberta and a PhD in clinical psychology from McGill University. After teaching and research at Harvard University, he returned to Canada in 1998 to permanently join the faculty of psychology at the University of Toronto. In 1999, he published his first book, Maps of Meaning: The Architecture of Belief, which became the basis for many of his subsequent lectures. The book combined information from psychology, mythology, religion, literature, philosophy, and neuroscience to analyze systems of belief and meaning.

Nursing home employees. I worked years without breaks! For little pay.
I worked as a CNA at several nursing homes. Truck drivers work at least twice as many unpaid hours in a day compared to nursing home workers week.
In what way do they work for free?

The only thing you are paid for is the miles you move the freight, and if the load pays movers guide, you're lucky to get paid 90% of the miles.

Don't forget to include facts like 90% of homicide recorded worldwide is COMMITTED by male perpetrators. No one is out here saying men don't face struggles. There should be room to listen to both side to actually support change and creating a better future. But we have to get real with what the issue is. WHY are men committing suicide to this degree? Dig deeper. What does the male prison population look like - is it a gender issue or socioeconomic? and/or racial? In order to find a solution you need to get real with what you're up against.

The proportion doesn't matter, Peterson, what matters is the power. Money is power, obviously, especially in the US. The claim that men do worse at school is also bogus. Men from rich powerful backgrounds do as well as they need to, which isn't particularly well at all (the Trumps, the Murdochs, etc). Women have to work harder to get ahead academically, and they generally have more out-of-school duties to attend to. China has never had woman in the Politburo Standing Committee in the 70 years of its existence, and the current Chinese Testosterone Party full Politburo has no female members. Again, though it's not about proportion but about power. Most countries have only one political leader, and 90% of them are male. Vive les bonobos!

That the majority of people in prison are MEN, that the majority of people who are on the street are MEN, that most people that are disaffected are MEN, that most victims of violent crime are MEN, that most of the people that commit suicide are MEN...that sounds like society IS male dominated to me. He just misdirected the conversation away from the fact that she said that most wealth and capital are owned by men, which was not the thesis. The thesis was that SOCIETY is male dominated, not that the proportion of ownership is male dominated. Every point he made was that males dominate those elements of society, so his argument actually supports that society is male dominated. So many people distracted by what they want to hear, by confirmation bias, than people that actually look at the logic of the statements.

He made men have more bone density and muscle mass for carrying the heavy stuff and doing all the hard work. He created the woman to be a soft, gentle, caring creature that would stay at home, watch over the kids while the man was out hunting for food for them to eat and when he brought back the food, the woman would prepare a meal for him and his family.
