For catching monsters.... I thought the same as you at first, but I was wrong. You do use that crappy net to catch those mobs. If your net can't catch the monster, the game will not even allow you to use it. You get level 2 net at rank 6 allows you to catch slightly bigger mobs such as chocobo. You fail to catch the lamb probably because (this is just my theory here) that your distance from mob is either too close or too far, and also I found your chance of success higher if you try to catch mob from behind. So don't stop trying to catch it, as long as the game allows you to use that crappy net, keep trying, you will be able to catch it one of those times (also there is an RNG factor). Good luck.
Forgot to say, once you get the rank 6 net... you can not use that net to catch the small mobs such as the lost lamb you were trying to catch but failed. Use the right net to catch mobs of the right size and part of it is just RNG.
@@BunBossFFXIV I thought it says 100% success rate for crafting the tools. But, I could be wrong, just simply stating the fact from my personal experience that’s all.
@@BunBossFFXIV I've caught all rare smells (besides that slippery crab) and it is 100% not a 100% catch rate. I rem hearing that too, maybe a bad translation idk. But for ex. one of my red aplakku took over 10 nets while I got my star marmot on 1st try, it's just rng. Also yeah the next net is only for med. still not 100% rate and not usable at all on small Oh and I have had prob a dozen or so that just completely get away too. Add another 1/2 dozen if you count the crab. I honestly don't know if it's catchable yet, one in my hunt LS claims they got it but I haven't been able to visit them to confirm. Alot of us have been trying every time it rains and no ones seen it pinned up.

When it comes to Minions, I'm just tossing them out sorted into areas they would typically be found if in the wild. IE a dog/sheep/etc in the monster pen area
I have a tip for your hotbars: taking off a job crystal resets your hotbar. so all the ARR jobs that get a crystal at lvl 30 can all be used. there i put macros that turn off the rest of the hud like quest lists, inventory and so on.

Like a black sheep, a red one of those penguin looking birds called “the bird of paradise”. I also saw a black chocobo too but I can’t catch them yet.
The part about catching the animal with the wrong net is incorrect. Your chance to catch an animal is RNG. Sometimes it will see you and run away, sometimes it will escape, unaware of your presence and allow you to try again, and sometimes you'll catch it. If you're using the wrong net for an animal it won't even allow you to try. You'll get a message that that animal can't be caught with that net.
Yeah it fun at level 7 you upgrade your cabin to 3 plus the upgrades and expansions for the area expansions for pasture and farm plot as well expanding the area is 1,500 blues apease the shovel sythe and gigs make gathering faster have to wait on the blue pixies wings till everything complete lol.
I found there is a sweet spot on the map for island vine that's not the item location on the menu map. *the sweet spot has 7-8 vines in one little area*
hey another question for you. I noticed in your video you have the isle sprint/rh moved to bottom of your HUD layout. How was you able to move that? When I went in HUD settings I didn't see that as an option.
Just a correction here. You said if you try to catch a monster with the incorrect tool it will run away and you cant catch it. This is incorrect as the game will tell you straight up that you cant catch it with that tool. Those lambs were the first animal i caught with my net, I guess you just got unlucky they ran away. I struggled a couple of time when I got the upgrade to catch the Doe and they kept seeing me and running away but I eventually caught one.
I thought I was the only one xD for #7 I started marauder because it starts at lvl 1 just so I can take off the skills on my hot bar so it can just be blank and I can just put my mount and sprint macro on my bars

wait i can renovate my cabin right now, cool. i was able to capture the sheep with the net got both the white and black variant i did approach from behind but yeah had 2 nets fail even doing that. it did tell me my net was too small to capture the chocobos though.

It was said in the live letter that it is 100% catch rate with the right tool. There is no rng

You can also just switch hudlayouts and macro it to switch hudlayouts and turn everything off. Thats why I did and it works like a dream

Why use DNC skill when the Isle Sprint has 5 sec Cooldown and 20 sec duration?
Because it’s way quicker for very short distances between gathering nodes. Try it out and you’ll see :)
