We put this program in place a few weeks ago and it's been a nightmare. Dropped calls at the switchboard. We can't hear callers and they can't hear us. Drop downs change bizarrely when nothing is changed. I wish we could get it to work. I don't work in our IT department but this has made our switchboard operators unable to perform their job. Any helpful information would be greatly appreciated.

We implemented this for a couple of clients and they’re wanting to dump Teams Phone for the same reasons. Using a Teams-compatible handset, it takes nothing less that 12 button presses just to transfer a call! The Voice Dashboard is fraught with issues, and simple changes can take hours. Unfortunately it has a ways to go before it can replace a modem phone system.

Can anyone recommend to a reliable partner who can offer MS Team calls recording with Direct route calls? Thanks

Wouldn't suggest Teams ever. Have used this with our company for about 2yrs now. With the forced migration to Teams from Skype, even the simplest things, like a call appearance line on a physical Teams firmware phone, isn't even a thing and work. The interface is convoluted with a desk phone and getting users like your Execs to adopt and their assistant will be a nightmare and likely lose your job over this wreck of a phone system. If people won't use the soft phone like our company, this is a complete disaster waiting to happen. Even basic features from Skype still aren't rolled into Teams yet from the admin/user side. Honestly, I'm baffled and frustrated beyond belief with this phone system and complete lack of features. I'm agreeing with our exec teams and assistants in particular that ask for a simple line appearance feature, and it doesn't exist. It's a mess to pickup as a delegate and get it back to the person whom you just answered the call for. Just try to figure out to simply do a delegation and answer/pickup a call from an assistant without this complicated method/interface on any desktop made for Teams. This is just one example of what a complete mess this thing is. IT staff/support are at their wits end dealing with the MS Teams product and support of the users and getting them to adopt the soft phone. Truly boggles the mind from a 25yr telephony/IP telephony person how these basic things have not been implemented. Looking for an entirely new solution now and likely going to ditch Teams to get some basic features back. The recurring theme here I've mentioned if you haven't noticed, execs/assistants, basic features that are simple/easy to use. Don't exist! Not to mention the terrible phone/integrated experience and lack of user adoption no matter how much we've pushed. This is entirely a Microsoft created problem/issue. Skype was much easier and their phones to do basic tasks. No idea where to go at this point. Good luck everyone.

Are the prices in the video out of date? The teams pricing page seems to be a bit cheaper at £9per user per month (annual charge), and it all seems to be bundled into one now... www.microsoft.com/en-gb/microsoft-teams/voice-calling#office-StandaloneSKU-pkdogb9

Hey Chris, there is a promotion on at the moment for new customers in their first year of £9 per user, discounted from £12. It's valid for the first 12 months of the subscription and then after that, it will go back up to £12 per user.
