You can tell Recess was really the turning point for Skrillex in terms of his genre experimentation, which he’s absolutely built on across the years following 2014! Great to still have him around and even better than ever, Quest For Fire especially is a phenomenal album!
Its been "only" 15 years of Skrillex electronic music. Imagine what the future holds, He just can't stop producing music, pushing boundaries, making new sounds even trends. When He posted on Instagram that He's officially gonna drop Quest For Fire, I checked the comments, at least 50% of DJ Mag's Top 100 producer commented there how hyped they are to hear it. Even among top producers, He's the most respected one probably. And a regular person thinks Skrill is the dubstep dude with crazy hair from 2012 whos time is over. Oh its not, like I said He just can't stop producing and I love it! :)

Skrillex from 2009-2016 was all a hit... Now there's no more dubstep and hybrid trap... I remember when I listened to his songs (I don't remember if from 2013 or 2015) but in those years he was rocking hard. Especially in 2011 with dubstep, which I didn't listen to because I was little. I still remember the period at the end of middle school, it was between April and May 2016 and it was precisely in those times that I listened to all his music as well as with you friends which I listened to after school instead of studying, while I played Minecraft. Those were truly the good times. Now skrillex I still listen to it and I'm happy that it is returned. I don't see his new album coming out which should be out soon. Obviously it must be said that it is not the same thing as when I was 12, given that I am now 21 and that feeling I once had is lost. All good things come to an end.
Unpopular opinion probably but I seriously think the Recess era through the Jack U days were peak skrillex to me. Completely forgot about Scatta with Foreign Beggars. That one flew under the radar big time! So hard!
Recess holds up ridiculously well considering it turns 10 this year. Skrillex just IS the curve everyone talks about being ahead of or behind. Nosphere did a fanstastic remix of Scatta if you fancied a modern twist on the classic
