Not really. No where in that review did they talk about locations. Depending on the purpose of your journey, the highest rated hotel may not work for a traveler.
I stayed at the St Regis last year for 50,000 Marriott Points (I’m a former SPG platinum member so I have 1,300,000 points ) and they did give me the Free upgrade, Free breakfast and even a free one hour spa treatment that I was entitled to because of my SPG status. Many hotels rip me off of the free upgrade but they were very suave and the Service was also good. My only complaint is that the pool was closed for renovation during my stay so I was kind of bored I was staying in Doha one night for a 24 hour layover to Yerevan Armenia 🇦🇲 and I got a little bored. Nice review thanks for sharing

Been to Doha for a day trip last Sept and it is quite a boring city. The guide took us to the museum, which has a very nice architecture design and modern feel. The collections are good too. I went to the souq waqif and there are different sections to see for the night market, the falcon hospital and dinner at this beautiful restaurant with a lot of mirrors and crystals decor. So pretty. Apart from all these, there aren't many interesting attractions things to do if you compare to Dubai. I went to the hotel to freshen up before my midnight flight on Qatar QSuite Business Class to Malaga for a work trip.
I stayed in Doha at what was then the Movenpick Hotel ...and it was of course a "dry hotel"from memory the Ritz Carlton was across the road and a Corona (sorry!) beer was 30 Australian dollars !! Trouble with Doha is there is nothing to do...unless you stay in the hotel and enjoy what they have to offer...other than that it is a pretty boring place !! Well done again and most entertaining !!
If u look in the Ritz carlton hotel balcony when hes talking you see a cigarette butt on the right on the floor, so much for the traditional clean luxury hotel
Serious suggestion guys, if you have a friend who is hearing/visually or physicality impaired take them with you on your next flight/hotel for their review. You all do excellent and entertaining reviews.

I’ve been to all three and would choose Sharq for rooms and instagrammableness, St Regis for brunch and pool and W for food! I first visited Sharq in 2014 and it was more expensive then and a lot less relaxed than now, seems to be remarketed at the younger Western crowd now, before it was popular with Saudis.
I’d probably still choose the W since it seemed to be closer to the city where as the other two look to be a bit of a trip. But the Ritz would be my #2.
that's a concept I like. A plane in all classes, all 5 Star Hotels of a city at the same time, all room categories of a hotel and so on. Do a maldives-all-atolls-at-once please...

I just discovered your flight videos and now I see you have hotel reviews. It is so helpful what you do, because it is hard to envision why certain services are worth the price (Even though things may be very different now because of covid restricions). In any case, very well done!! Also, I think that Nicky seems to have the best storyteller voice when presenting anything and offers a lot more details, which I like...and Liam is so polite,it's awesome!!...I did not appreciate Jean's attitude in the hotel room!...Anyway, keep rockin' on !!

The Ritz-Carlton was a 7 star hotel from 2007, but then it became a 5 star in 2016 bcoz the marriot property is 5 star and they didn't like it
It’s great but yes the prices do vary seasonally, it’s good value for money over in Qatar when you compare hotels to the UK and US.

In all fairness, the W is not in same league as the Ritz or St Regis. It's like comparing business in Delta with first class in Singapore or Emirates.

All are actually very close to the city everything is in under 10km radius. Good place to visit. But pricy in some costs.
