- ITS FINALLY FINISHED🫡🫡 I've been thinking abt this au for at least a month now and i finally did it😭 this is very self indulgent and ive listened to this song at least a 100 times atp and at some point I started imagining a life series version of this so I just made ut🙏 this took abt a week to make even tho I was trying to get it done quicker
Explanation of the story (Does not belong to me this au is based off the og events of the song and mv) God (the watchers in this case) was upset by the way humans abused their privileges and the earth so God punished them by sealing away the 9 main natural elements that made up the world (E.g. Whirlwind rondo is air, Blossoming wave of the sea is the water etc) in a tower leaving the world in destruction. Every 15 years, a new messiah is chosen to retrieve the blessing and light the torch to revieve the earth until the next messiah is chosen. Grian (Miku in the og) is chosen as the messiah and must get the blessings, 9 of his friends joined him. In every chamber, a blessing was stolen by one of his friends. Grian assumes he was betrayed by each friend and wondered why this would happen. Eventually, when the messiah reaches the tower, he finds that his friends didnt betray him, but sacrificed themselves to protect the him.

The "messenger" is martyn since hes usually the one who brings the most lore. The watchers represent the God in this and martyn has spoken to the watchers before so I thought it would be fitting for him to be the bringer of the prophecy!

This was FANTASTIC!!!! I love how most of them matched either lore or thing they have done in the past like Joel as a monk (cult leader) or scar being bdubs older brother etc…

I clicked immediately into the video when I saw life series and the title of one of my favorite songs, this is such an amazing animatic! I love your art style and the details of the roles of each character, such as Scott is the first one to sacrifice himself, Scar and Bdubs being brothers, and Bdubs ironically chose darkness, everything is just so fitting!

I love this so much. The emotions and the facial expressions! The way the characters fit perfectly into their place. It's amazing. I love how the true feelings are shown at the end when it says how they die! I wish I was as talented as you.

Quick explanation from my understanding of the original MV: The world has gone to shambles, and the only way to save it is for the messiah to get 9 “blessings”. The messiah makes friends along the way who end up betraying them at the end by stealing all 9 blessings. The messiah goes up the tower and sees (in the original video) blood pooling into the centre: turns out, the messiah’s friends had only pretended to betray them, and had purposely sacrificed themselves for the survival of the messiah and the world.
In this case, I guess that everyone sacrificed themselves for Grian’s sake (and/or mercy from the Watchers?)
The animatic was so well done and I was so excited to see it in my feed!

The blossoming wave of the sea - Scott drowned in what is assumed to be a flood or tsunami
The firey feast - Pearl was burnt to death in a fire
The graceful sunlight - Scar died of heatstroke in a drought
The restful darkness - It is debated over whether it is disease or su!C!de, but that was Bdubs' fate
The trembling earth - Joel was killed in an earthquake and 'swallowed' by the cracks and destruction
The ambient thunder - Gem was struck by lightning, causing her death
The whirlwind rhondo - A hurricane that swept through the chamber, killing Cleo
The silver garden - Indicates death via hypothermia
The Quickening magma - Indicates a volcanic eruption or something similar
Many of these 'blessings' are natural disasters or similar, the only one people aren't 100% sure of is the restful darkness
@@v0id3d_st4rs I personally think the restful darkness was a suicide of some sort since it says "lost my mind to the dark unknown" meaning the person in the 4th chamber (bdubs/mayu) went completely insane but thats just what I took from it!!

I just noticed that when we see the lifers when they sing about how they die, they have the same looks on their faces as when they took the blessings, except sadder, which shows what they truly felt compared to what Grian thought when he saw them take the blessings.

Martyn is buy on lore, so him being a messenger just makes sense.
Grian as the savior works well because the Watchers seem to have a fascination with him for one reason or another, leading to him becoming a watcher.
Scott as the first one to go… YES. Scott is very sacrificial, from refusing to boogie in Last Life, giving Pearl the win in Double Life, dishing out nearly all his lives in Limited Life, and giving Gem permission to kill him in Secret Life. It makes perfect sense that he’d be the one to dare to kick things off.
5 am Pearl is certainly… not what you want to see, that’s for sure.
I admit I forgot the first watch that Scar and Bdubs were siblings in Limited Life. Good catch!
