I love it when Billy says, 'It's fine, what you did. He's doing that silly ju jitsu double wrist lock. Nobody calls it a kimura where I'm from.' Old Billy, Representing Wigan!!
The double wrist lock is a very old hold predating Judo. Ancient jujitsu systems had it as well Catch and Pankration. Kimura is a recent name named after an early 20th century Judo dynamo.
Simply Awesome! As usual. I used to see this tech in old pics of catch but as they say 'a picture is worth a thousand words' The instruction on this vid makes it plain what u cant get from a picture.
Everything Billy Robinson says is gold. I love that guy.
Billy's a legend... might be a little outdated but he knows what he's talking about

Wish I could have trained under Billy. He was very knowledgeable man.
I love how Coach Billy Robinson circles his prey first like a Great White Shark before he comes in to take a bite.
I bet he already saw 50+ moves he could have easily done from that position 🙂

Don't care what anyone says Brazilian ju-jitsu may have been the pioneer of MMA but CACC is still the #1 grappling sport ever!
Billy is amazing
Renzo would have loved this before he fought Sakuraba
Legendary comment!!!!
Man, that's one of those "that would never work... ow ow OW! okay, it works, it works!" type reversals...
very cool.
Holy crap I thought you had a neck brace on. :P
Matt Lindland did that to Jacare.
Billy scares the shit out of me.
this is awesome
NICE!!
I like calling it a Kimura. You don't have to use anymore words to describe what type of double wrist lock
I have changed my mind after training with Scientific Wrestling and also SnakePit USA. The Kimura and double wrist lock are not the same move IMHO.
Kimura. I said it. Come at me, Bill!
This works on the ground too.
Sweet reversal. Hard to pull off if the wrist lock is applied by turning the wrist first. Ie grabbing the bottom of the wrist.
2:11 - 2:18 !!!
