@@sinfonian2013 - I think what I love most about Platinum is the sense of ensemble (which carried over into Max Q with De Rosa and Lewis), solid fundamentals with chord lock, a generational talent in De Rosa on baritone, and also Connelly’s stylings (he’s still my favorite lead of all time). Listen to how he uses the grace note suspension on “rest” for the phrase “and we’ll say good night to you and all the rest” at 1:24. It’s so simple, but it adds so much character. It could go on for days about Platinum…
You can hear the crowd almost *gasp* on the penultimate chord - they obviously can’t handle how incredible it is (and neither can I). Go Platinum!
i always thought they were amazed by how long tony derosa held that note
@@bradymannion4344 That too, surely!
This is Peak Tony DeRosa
Wait, what? This is my first time hearing this. How come I haven't heard one of their best performances? This tag is insane!
That is perhaps the most well-executed, most GORGEOUS tag I’ve ever heard! Even on this low-quality recording.
I swear it was the most in tune tag ever. Whew!
The whole performance is amazing. And in spite of the quality of the recording medium. They don't make quartets like this any more...
@@PetersenFamily20715 That's a good way to put it!

That tag is INSANE
Brings back memories.
I saw these guys in person ... what a ride ... I was in tears! Thanks for posting!
Over The-Hill - Absolutely! I prefer these individual videos rather than one long video of these guys, I’ll be posting one more soon!
@@NikoPorterDo you by chance have the cameo from Louisville this year?
@@dalejarvis2126 I sure do, but the BHS has extremely strict copyright rules so I can’t share that publicly
@@NikoPorter Got it. It was such a pleasant surprise to see it. We'll keep an eye out for it, all ten seconds or so. v
gary lewis needs to sing tenor again he was on of the greatest
It's hard to believe he sings bass for Quorum now
@@BenTheObject If quorum wins, then Gary Lewis will be the only person to place 1st on 3 separate vocal parts. He's the 3rd person to medal on 3 parts
@@micahbradshaw9061 I bet he'll then sing lead for some other quartet and win on all 4 parts!
cant find a better performance of this, so tight
Lol... there isn’t one
I love this song, they are incredible and don't mind showing it
Never heard that one before! Love it, amazing post, bass and blend
That final chord!!!!!!
Talk about delicious...
