    Why do they make them so small? They may look good, but they are not very useful for serious work. I make most of mine 20 to 24 inches long and use mostly rail that is heavier than 130 pounds per yard. (141 pounds per yard is the heaviest rail road rail available in the USA). I also prefer to flame cut the rail to rough shape. Saves MANY hours boring work.
