Never. Marry. A. Spender.
Correction: Never Marry. There I fixed it for you.
@@jsd2799problem is people don't know how to pick.
People get caught up in "love" and then avoid all the important topics prior to marriage.

Husband is spending tons of money: “it’s the husband’s fault”
Wife is spending tons of money: “it’s the husband’s fault”
Davejust scolded the wife a few days ago so what you thought is untrue.
False equivalency, but good try.
Whoever calls first gets Dave on their side.
Women owe 2/3 of all student loan debt.
Women owe more than 70% of consumer debt.
Imagine for decades of your life. Getting free gifts, vacations, drinks and zero accountability for your life decisions. This is the life of a modern woman in a first world country.
It's BOTH of their faults, it being a marriage, by definition, makes it a "we" problem.
Whichever one of them is actually blowing the money, the other one is an accessory for letting it happen on their watch.

Be extra careful before you get married.
Let's be real, it isn't like she started spending money out of nowhere. She was doing it well before marriage.
Idk how all these ppl see these problems, then marry the problems and act all surprised after.

EXACTLY. Men need to stop marrying these women today. Everyone of them always have regret
One thing that bugs me about Dave Ramsey is whenever the husband is the problem when it comes to spending he attacks him ad calls him a little boy who can't control himself blah blah blah but whenever it's the woman who's overspending it's still somehow the husband's fault
To HER there IS an endless supply, that’s sadly your fault for enabling her throughout the years!
its only his fault if he lets it continue now that he knows. This is all fixable without any blame.
I call bs!
Pretty sure it is her fault as well.Women have brains and impulses as well.
Don’t agree. Whatever he did she’s responsible for her.
That's why dave is right to call these sorts of things a marriage problem and not a financial problem.
Two cannot walk together unless they are of one accord.
If you can't see eye to eye with your wife, then you need to consider divorce.
Amputating a spendaholic from your family is painful but it's better than succumbing to financial cancer.

These guys are placing blame on the wives. They're both responsible.m for their financial health. The time to talk money is prior to the I DO. There needs to be discussion about money and how to budget etc. That way no one is the brat and no one is the killjoy. It's our money and these are our goals and objectives.

They financed essentially an AIR MATRESS.
You need to discuss money by the 10th date. If you can't at least get a good vibe between the two of you, break it off. Never marry someone if you feel there is a misunderstanding about money and spending.
Kudo!! 👍🙏🌟 Finally, the wisdom is in the comment section.
In the United States, with no-fault divorce, and divorce and family courts stacked against men, the bigger question is: Why would a man get married in the first place?
Yes. You can't reason with these women
Mmk..get to know how they're with money
well women are very deceptive pal thats why they wear makeup!
Absolutely, marriage is a great deal for women and a terrible deal for men. If she wants to bail for any no-fault reason, your life is destroyed and it will take years to recover. If you have kids, make that decades.
I'll never tie myself to someone else financially 🚫

Why is the assumption that the generosity should go to single mothers rather than single fathers?
I could tell from the title that these guys were gonna go full simp mode. Yes he made a mistake, he owned it, and that should be the end of it. This should not be considered a lifetime license to spend frivolously. As soon as I saw who was sitting with Ramsey I knew the first thing out of his mouth would be simping, and I was not disappointed.
Simp mode is JD’s only mode; how could you be a have decent counselor when you are in simp mode 24/7?

The last comment Dave made, buy a single mom a car. Absolutely not. Thats rewarding terrible behavior. Dont be a save a heux.
Why do you follow the schedule and get nervous if you can start staking in Cross Staking?
This would never happen in my house. I would file divorce papers immediately. Men need to get a spine. Spending money behind your back is financial infidelity.
It is not a vision problem but an attitude problem.
Well because of quantitative easing their is actually an endless supply of money
I am so tired of Dave's channel and taking the Female side. They will say it's both your fault or the man's fault when a man calls but when the woman calls, they will tell her it's the man's fault. This is on all topics. In this video he said he's good with his money, but then they keep getting on him about the bed. These guys are so wrong.
Who you DATE...is who you MARRY. People aren't doing 180's once they get married. The signs of who a person truly is are ALWAYS there....they may be subtle but they are there.
If you can't work with/through those traits BEFORE you marry.... DON'T GET MARRIED.
You can't change anyone...if someone never wants to discuss money, doesn't value your opinions, talks down to you or about you, embarrasses you for 'fun/laughs', etc...MOVE AROUND...They are being EXACTLY who they are....no amount of 'love/support/money/s**' you provide will change them.

It's tough, my husband are on the same page about debt and spending but not on the long term vision. He wants to live like a pauper forever because it makes him feel good. Seeing that as my future makes me feel hopeless and less motivated.

Guys, if you have ETH, I advise everyone to start staking it with an Cross Staking provider.
The young guys out there you’re going to assume that the big deal is this woman spending but it really isn’t. The worst part of the story is this is his second marriage. That’s two too many, you don’t need to be married to have a great relationship with a woman. It’s a financial contract that you’re entering into when you get married don’t do it.
He obviously learned nothing after the first failure; newsflash, second marriages are much more likely to fail. How many years before he calls back with a question concerning his third wife?😂😂😂😂😂
You've clearly missed the whole point of marriage, (as have many over the years). Marriage is a commitment, not to be entered lightly. You marry someone because you want to be with them, and take care of them, raise children, grow old with them. Someone you wouldn't want to live without, and that you respect and trust. You don't marry someone as an experiment. It isn't always easy and you won't always agree. It takes work! You have to be willing to happily do more than your share. 50/50 will never cut it. If you would gladly give 100% to be with that person for the rest of your life, you will never be disappointed.
If you think marriage is just a financial contract you aren't marriage material
