Wow, thank you for making this a tutorial. I would have never thought to use cardboard and was trying to think of a wood that I wouldn’t need a saw for lol, but this looks actually do-able.
Here’s an idea for ya to make the compass that much better is if you get a small magnet and glue it to the underside of the compass dial it will make it move easier and if you have another compass you can make it look as if the compass is moving on its own. 😊 also thanks i have been waiting for someone to make a perfect jack sparrow compass 😊😊👌✌️
Excellent tips thanks 😊 And glad you liked my compass.
My son loves your channel! He’s made most of your lightsabers and now he wants to make jack sparrow outfit so is very excited by these. He’s 8 and does it all himself. Thank you for these awesome videos!
I hope he has as much success with Captain Jack as he's had with the lightsabers 😊 So glad he enjoys the tutorials.
Thanks so much for making this video. I was wondering what I was going to do for a compass. And you did it! I will be making this for my costume!
So beautiful! Thank you for sharing this!
Great work, definitely using this idea for my Halloween captain jack Sparrow costume
Good luck, Captain.

Can you please make a Hela Cosplay from Thor Ragnarok! I’ve been needing to start a new cosplay! And I thought of her!
Sure, I'll add her to my to-do list. It'll be a little while before I get to her, because I get requests faster than I can make them, but I'll let you know when I get it posted.
Ok, took me a long while, but I finally have a Hela tutorial posted. And I'll be posting the horn tutorial next week. Hope you enjoy.
Love the video it was well made
Thanks 😊
The Woodland Elf no problem Just a quick question can you do the arm Andorian phase riffle or the communicator
Sure, I'll add to my to-do list.
The Woodland Elf thanks
I really like your compass!! Can you please give a substitute for the hinge thanks
You can glue on a rectangular piece of felt instead of a hinge, and it should work pretty much the same way as a real hinge.
Thank you so much
Thank u for this video
its awesome
Thanks 😊
Hey would you sell that compass to me
I can't. I already gave it to my brother as a gift.
So please make me same that to me please 🙏
Hi this year I'm disguising myself as Jack Sparrow and I'd like to know that they are Jack's compass measurements
The size of the compass I made is about 3 1/2 inches.
How did you get the foam to form I have been trying it with a hairdryer and it isn't forming
Hairdryer usually works. Trying warming it up longer before attempting to stretch it. If that still doesn't work, your hairdryer settings might not go high enough. Holding it next a burning woodstove or using heat gun also works well.

called captain jack sparrow not jack sparrow
Depends on who's talking about him 😉
intro: cringy
video: fine
tutorial: fine
conclustion: ok
Glad you liked the tutorial (the intro's supposed to be cringy 😉 ).
How big are the cardboard squares that you cut out?
and how many Inches/CM are you using on the compass to draw the circles?
The cardboard squares were about 3 1/2 inches. And the circles were about 2 1/2 inches in diameter (the inner cardstock circle being just a tad bit smaller, so it didn't hit the edges of the compass hole)
I tried this but it sorta failed because the is no measurements 😂
Sorry, haha. The compass itself 3.5 inches wide on each side. Any other measurements you need?
@@Thewoodlandelf no thats good thank you 🙂👍
What kind of cat you have there?!
I'm not sure actually. She was a stray cat that we rescued, so she's probably a mix of something. Whatever she is, she's very fluffy.
la brujula me salio
Can you tell me the approx measurements
Yeah, the cardboard squares are about 3 1/2 inches (or 8.89 cm if you use metric).
The Woodland Elf thanks and what did you do to make sure the eye screw wasn’t visible from the inner circle
You can either look for a screw that short enough that it won't poke through, or just cut the end of a longer screw off with a pair of wire cutters so it's short enough.
J
Too bad i dont have a foam
You can get it at JoAnn's, Michael's, Hobby lobby. Anyplace like that. And they also sell it amazon. Or an as alternative, you can just use cardboard in place of the foam. It'll just be flat instead of rounded.
The compass lid is slightly off center.
It's just cardboard 😉
wow you are big fan of Jack sparow love the compass
Glad you enjoyed it 😊
