Glad you enjoyed it Dave :-) Interesting you think this practice is becoming less common. Its been some time now since our last ICW trip. Maybe we need to revisit the waterway!
Most of the bridges on the ICWE are 50 foot. It is good you guys talk to us to determine passing arrangements it lets us know you are there and your intentions. I usually steer 6 packs through there so I usually have 600foot of tow.
20 years as a professional power yacht captain including a half dozen ICW trips constantly dealing with sail boaters that just don't want to do it right and now in retirement I find ONE who knows how it is done. Such is life.........
I run tug boats on the icw. From Brownsville tx to Florida. From all of us tow boaters, just stay out of the icw. Yall are such a pain in the butt. Especially on a windy day
This video popped up today. We own the second trawler Wanderer’s Rest. Nice to have a video to see her underway.
Thanks for sharing this.
It used to be a common practice/courtesy that got lost in the last 10 to 15 yrs.

Manny,
Spot on. Fortunately most Tows are pretty good people and we all get along. Capt P doesn't deserve the license. He's an AH.
