Rlaarlo has just released the AM-X12, probably the nicest mini-scale RC car I've tried. Let's take a look at this 1/12 4wd race buggy and see how it performed!

Great looking buggy and well done on another well structured review. Looking forward to getting mine soon. 😎👍
Enjoy it! Looking forward to seeing your videos!
Just the video I was looking for. Multiple locations and it preformed well. Excellent vid!
Great video mate. Looks awesome, I'm glad Rlaarlo are listen and doing something different! 😀
Awesome review! I ordered one last week and hoping it gets here soon in Canada. Looks like great value for the dollar and it will be my first race buggy.
For 150 bucks that's a steal how fast it is and it runs good on 3s man that car is coming home 🏡 👌 🙌
Besides the ECM failing after a few hours of use, I've absolutely had a blast with mine
Who is Rlaarlo affilated with a bigger compay, which company is that?
Nice review. Especially on dirt and carpet. I can't wait for it to arrive
That case is a super nice touch. That radio looks like it is made by Radiolink. I might have to pick one of these up.
Thumb up for your thumbs!
👍
Great little buggy, certainly one of the better handling out there and faaast! And, at $150, pretty good deal (maybe the best deal in this scale?) but $250? The whole appeal of these off-brands is value. Yes, these are getting better and better but with it, the price is really starting to climb and they quickly start to lose their appeal. They have their market, no doubt, just not my style. Thanks for another great review 👍
Agreed. At 250 this is a hard pass for people after high quality (can get an arma or traxxas for this price) and for value seekers (100 bucks wltoys)
The tx/rx is dumborc I think. The rx is from dumborc.
Ppl saying 250 is too much don’t know the beating this buggy can take at a dirt short-course track, change the pinion gear with one provided with accessories in the box this little thing will rip and also fly
👍 Great video 👍
Many Thanks for showing us the buggy on an actual racetrack… 🙏
Because, somehow this is more also a race buggy than just a basher and/or speed-run vehicle… 😉
Too bad, that you did not run it first with the original RC-System on the track, before you switched to the FUTABA… 😉🧐
But except of the radio, you did run it all original on the track?
Battery, tires, ESC, servo, suspension/diff setup…?
Because, if so, it was already running quite well just “out of the box”…
Only the triple in the middle of the track looked like quite a challenge to clear even with further setup improvements… maybe with a smaller pinion and grippier (forward bite…) tires to make it snappier accelerate in front of the triple it could finally work out… 😉🧐
Many Thanks for sharing…!
Keep on having a great RC FUN time…!!! 🍀

RACER - Budget RC Fun Team Germany 🍻 😉😂😊…
I bought one for the price it can be disposable.... But if you're at the track with a buddy who's not into RC yet this looks like a simple rent-a-ride for him to use and not kill one of my good cars where they get run on the track. Probably not competition grade at $150 but to let someone get hooked on how fun racing and the hobby can be it's worth it to me.
A Rlaarlo able to stay in a straight line and featuring no Philips-head screws? Wow.
Plastic wheel on the remote is better in my opinion than foam wheel because over time, the foam disintigrate.
1:37 *Rlaarlo is a subdivision of a larger Chinese brand. Which brand? Why the bloody secrecy?*
Just noticed you changed the radio. Unfortunately this car is y driveable on carpet with the stock electronics. Nice driving
Awesome price for such a speedy car that comes with a case and so many extras. Does it fit in the case with the wing attached?
Hallo,
Exactly our thoughts, also… 👍
Somebody checked this out in his video, and like expected 😉🧐😂… it does fit, but you cannot get the transmitter into the case the same time…
Bummer…too bad… 🤔 😉😂😊…
Keep on having a great RC FUN time…!!! 🍀

Hi razer nice looking car brilliant video too 👌👏👍
Lol so frustrating watching all the youtubers getting it early and mine not shipped yet 🤣. Nice review though. 👍
I said the same thing!! 😂😭. And I ordered it as soon as that timer was up to order the car!
Two questions? I have the AM-D12 do the the parts cross compatible?
And can it fit a standard 540 motor can like the WLToys 1/12 buggy?
Nice video!
Thanks!
So I just got 1 of these about a week ago and I can not launch the buggy without it instanly spinning out. I found it has to do with the front wheels. There is a ton of play no matter how much I tighten everything. It's so bad that when the steering servo go from a left turn back to straight, the wheels still point left. Same happens with ight turns, the wheel still face right after I am don't turning. Off road, it's not noticeable as much but I am running it mostly in the street. Any suggestions on how to fix it?
What other body shells can you put on the amx12?
The Best hands down mini RC Buggy is == LC Racing EMB-1H 1/14 Brushless Racing Buggy RTR !!! Quality !!!
It's a sweet looking pimped out WLtoys but full price of 250 is laughable.
yea it's almost like they know no one will buy it for 250 so they just leave the promotional price for a full month and hope they get enough orders to justify producing the thing
Hey, it's your money. I say it's not worth MY 250. I'd rather buy a second hand Arrma Typhon or something. At least I don't have to wait a month for parts to arrive from China.
@@ElectronicMusicUnderground ya but for $250 you can get the lcracing one
Dude, I'm not gonna buy your car. Stop selling.
But for 150 it's a steal like he said, alot ppl.dont have money for rc and what else could you bring to the track . Even my team associated reflex was 250 and I had to upgrade it and it's still really just cheap plastic.
When you say not a full on race spec ESC, do you mean that the power delivery is just not consistent enough at low speeds or something?
The stock receiver limits the handling a lot
Did you got the free gold wheel that first 100 order?
So how does this compare to the lovely TA Reflex 14b?
Will a minix2 esc castle system fit in there
Who is the parent company?? 😊
WL TOYS
@@Murphys_Law9 thx
How does this compare to LC racing Emb-T platform? I presume they would be similar. Would the parts be interchangeable too?
I've never had an LC, hope to one day!
How are the range on the receiver/transmitter? Om my 144001 it is very bad. And is it a delay in throttle like the 144010 V2?
And thanks for a new good review as always 😀
It looks small, but it's hard to tell in the video.... is this more like a 1:14 and their 1:14 is more like a 1:16 ?
the 1/14 is definitely a 1/14, this is just an inch longer in wheelbase, that's about the only difference.
Which model of esc did you use for the 1/14 buggy, thanks
I left the stock one there, but if I were to change I would get the Hobbywing 16BL30.
Is there any setup you did out of the box? If so what?
no changes, except using the Futaba 4PM on the track
Looks like a mini Arrma Typhon 🤔...
It looks like a cool car, but no matter how much it cost I never pay for something immediately to get it after 3 monts
Who said 3 months
@@paulclancy2404 staff from China takes 3 monts to arrive
@@valuerc2664 Hi, we will send the cars out sequentially from the beginning of Dec. It will arrive within one month at most.😄

I would expect hex hardware by now
You’d be surprised, I have some $500 HPIs that still come with Philips screws. 🙁

Public record man, get off of it lol
Too bad i couldn't find it in Europe.
Really does look like it drives nice, especially at home on pavement and that carpet track. Not too bad on the dirt RC track but looked to me that was as rough terrain as it could really handle, seemed to get upset a lot in the dirt. My biggest question with Rlaarlo is parts quality and parts support. It would be good to know if the parts quality is up to par with LC Racing or if it is the lower quality stuff you get with WLToys. I bash my LC buggy in the street pretty hard, but the parts do hold-up and I know I can get replacements from a couple different vendors in the US within a few days.
