Believe it or not, the customers of this diner are some of the best craftsmen or engineers in Japan's industry.
There are many small factories and workshops in this small town, and this diner is indispensable for people working in this town.

This is not an easy job and many of them are elderly. They are so dedicated and work so hard and so proud of their food. I want to come and eat their food to say thank you for all your hard work.

Just looking at the cooking, I'm envious of the diners. Watching these cooks preparing the food, makes me think of many of my friend's and family meals in the old days, there's a touch of home cooking compared to how modern restaurants prepare the dishes. That's something that you taste in the meals that they prepare. Everyone loves home cooking. I wish them many years of doing what they enjoy.
Diners like these are a treasure. They are living examples of practice makes perfect. And it's not pretentious, just good, humble, attractive food, always fresh and meant to nourish and support the community around them.
It's such an honor to be served good food by your elders. Hope all the patrons appreciate this.
It's Japan, generally speaking it would be rude of them not to.
My grandmother used to say that if the food isn't made with love it just doesn't taste as good. I can see the love and pride these folks have in making their dishes. Everything is cooked just so, and arranged with care on the serving dishes. I Wish I could be there to eat. Long life and good health to all.
