I think my local B&N may have more stuff than others since they have a whole Paper Source store/section inside...the one when I visited my niece in Delaware, for example, didn't have these things. It's always fun to look around and see what you might find!
I feel much more excited to use these! I've only been using digital planning this month so far because I haven't felt excited to do any planning..hopefully this changes! Are you doing alright with all the snow?
Omg the pocket Midori diary is friggin’ CUTE! I would have gotten it just for the illustrations 😅 You definitely got good deals 👍 I get to live the stationery shopping life through your videos at B&Ns 😊 So I have heard of iconic but never used. Looks like a half vertical weekly which is refreshing because often people don’t need the whole 24 hours column of a vertical weekly. I am realizing it would be good to broaden my horizons and explore other brands rather than just using big names. I feel like there are probably so many other options we don’t even know about. I like your rule of only getting new planners, so we don’t repeat mistakes 😅😅😅 I like your diary idea for the rollbanh… the monthly is like the index for entries in the following pages! My really long form journaling is like morning pages but any time of day, but I trash it all so don’t use any nice notebooks 😂
When I saw the dog illustrations I knew I had to get them lol! I’m hoping it inspires my doodling in my TN or elsewhere. Especially since in 2022, it was the Hobonichi Life Book little pamphlet that sparked the drawing of my cat comic! Seems like a lifetime ago honestly… I’m really surprised they even carried Laconic planners because I haven’t seen them anywhere else before?? Like online too! I told myself I was NOT allowed to buy anything remotely similar to what I’ve used before! I had my hand on a NOLTY planner but honestly the last one I bought at Kinokuniya for 2023, I didn’t end up using. It just didn’t feel right. So I forced myself to put it back on the shelf even though it was 70% off!! My longform journaling is all over the place. Do you think it’s best to try and keep everything condensed into a single book and then store it together as a volume? Since I like trying out different notebooks, my LFJ ends up being all over the place! I guess this is probably a common issue among us…
@@stationery.shenanigans I know the feeling of a good deal, hard to pass even if you don’t need anything 😅 If you like journaling in different books/sizes I suppose it can’t be helped. I also jump around but it’s not stuff I care to document usually and archive forever. Hard to keep together unless you commit to a book. Or use loose leaf and bind together 😅
I purchased the cat version of the Midori but mine is completely in Japanese so I ended up stamping the days of the week so it was more useful to me. Also considered the Rollaban, but have a notebook with similar features so I passed.
The cat one was definitely cute!! The Japanese in the middle of the days is what was throwing me off, I could have bought both to enjoy the illustrations, but I hope somebody else was able to get it for 70% off! I haven't tried anything like the Rollbahn before, so it's definitely new...I know Kokuyo Campus has a similiar style. Today starts the new semester so I guess it's back to the grind! Thanks for watching.
Loved the Rollbahn planner/notebook. ❤
Normally I wouldn't go for this sort of planner/notebook, but I am intrigued and want to try it! The cover is so fun. Thanks for watching!
you always find the best stuff at barnes and noble

those midori illustrations are adorable. i have never used laconic but it's funny that it's a japanese planner with german written on the front!
And the Rollbahn has German too! I wonder why that is lol. Thanks for watching!
