I would like to see the original Macross in all it's glory. Not the human engineered and salvaged version, I mean the gravity pods and fold system completely failed. What other systems did it have? Oh yeah the original proto matrix producing "protoculture" the high energy system used by the Masters as well as the Zentran. May not be the biggest ship in the galaxy but it's power output is stupendous before it was "cut off" from protoculture matrix.

I've heard two names for it, but the system was actually supposed to cover the entire Macross, but since it was reverse engineered they weren't at full capacity so they only worked on three areas of the ship. Later Macross designs have the full ship protected.
+Aleksandros My understanding is the Pin-Point Barrier and Full Barrier System were the application of the accidental fold event when the crew overloaded their Fold Drive and created the localized distortion in space-time as the Fold Drive itself stayed in super dimension space. I don't believe any Overtechnology had a barrier system like the Macross as the Zentradi were baffled by it when they saw it. A major theme is the crew doing things that are insane or too stupid to work according to the Zentradi, such as the low altitude space-fold jump, or turning the hole in space-time in their ship into a shield.
It looks like it is all from the original Super Dimensional Fortress Macross TV show. You can tell the difference as the movie Macross: Do You Remember Love? was made in-universe and the UN Spacey omitted the Daedalus and Prometheus "arms" and had the two ARMD-class space carriers for it's "arms" like in Macross Plus and later.
