Yes the underappreciated genre of music in the PH. I used to be a chorale member before. We have been mocked by other people who have limited knowledge of this form of music. Unlike Pop and mainstream, which has more audiences. They don't know how brilliant the Chorale Singers in the PH. It's sad that the other nationalities appreciate them more. Thank you for reacting to this.
the founder of this group was eventually received the highest award given by the Philippine government to an artist, National Artist Award for Andrea Veneracion of Univ. of Phil..
I watched the group live in college in the mid-90s when they were still known as the UP Madrigal Singers. At the time, the singers have to be students of the University of the Philippines because it was a school group. Watching them live is amazing. No microphone is needed. Their vocal projection is powerful. Very, very good. I still love watching them even when the group is now connected with the Cultural Center of the Philippines and membership is no longer limited to the students of the University of the Philippines.
I believe this performance was in Madrid, Spain. They're considered as one of the best choirs in the world. They're the first choir to win the European Grand Prix for Choral Singing twice, UN Ambassadors for Peace, among others.
Finally!!!!!!! Think i requested this long time ago lolz .....Yes the vocals and animal sound or other sound you can hear are from the choir itself .... you should check more of their videos for your own personal viewing lolz The Madz as they are fondly called, is the oldest and internationally acclaimed choir in the Philippines. The most awarded chorale group internationally. They have won in competitions in Wales, Italy and other countries. I have copies of their cd's up to its recent and a massive fan.
mel steven Cahilog they are available in all record store in Manila and think they are available in amazon as well. They also sell cds during concerts. I was able to watched their 50th Anniversary at CCP and managed to but few cds as well

I was fortunate to watch one of their many concerts here in Canada. They even went to a friend's house for dinner and rendered us a free concert! Sounds and vocals were superb! And yes, they made animal sounds to make it more realistic. You should see it live to witness how well they are.
Hi Dan I've been watching your rxn videos for a quiet few months now, I love the Philippine madrigal singers. please do a reaction on their "eres tu" chorale performance in Uruguay. the sound quality is great their like voices of Angels from heaven. 😇
Pretty obvious that you are not into choir music but still appreciate your attempt to react to this. Madrigal, by definition, is UNACCOMPANIED by musical instruments.
Wow...! Nice reaction... thank you. So nice.

The acoustic of that venue did not really give justice to their performance.
