@@angusmacritchie9510 Great stuff! Hopefully we get to meet on the shoreline again Angus, let me know if your coming down my way, and we can get a session together at some point if you ever fancy it
Awesome result there lads, i cant help wondering whether sport like this could be on the cards in my nearby ribble estuary, only problem is our st season doesn't open until 1st april. Ive had 2 apparently fresh run fish in consecutive trips much further up river while fishing for grayling! Cant beat Scotland though for estuary sea trout 😊👍
Thanks Dave, appreciate that, and I am looking forward seeing you release a video in your nearby estuary! I reck that will be a great watch, and your right, Scottish estuary fishing is absolutely fantastic! Can’t wait to get back out again 😁
Years ago I had several bass up to 5lb from the ribble estuary at dead low tide, using flies very similar to what you and Logan used. more recently I've blanked. Something in the channel must have changed. I've heard of a guy who gets sea trout on fly and spinner from there in the spring, but its just heresay, really! It would make a great video as you say if I could catch, but a pretty awful one if I were to blank 😅
Michael, was grand to meet you lads on saturday, hopefully you had some more fish after I left you!. Ordered a Behemoth when I got home, canny wait to get back up there!. Cheers, Greg.
Hi Greg, it was a pleasure to see you catch those 2 beautiful bars of silver, unfortunately we missed 2 big fish, and I managed one smaller sized sea trout to the net! So we got a fish in the end! You won’t be disappointed with the behemoth Greg, really good quality reel, hopefully we see you again on the shoreline mate, keep in touch 🤘🏻
Will do buddy, was gonna ping you on your insta channel, but I wasn't sure if ye were still using it. Looking at Kilcreggan ferry times to venture a bit further round too! 😊
Thanks mate, appreciate that, surprisingly the first fish was mine, and it was pretty dam powerful like you said especially for its size, however, my friend Logan’s fish after mine was one of the best fights I’ve seen to date on the fly rod and his was a big shiny bar of silver, great day had by both of us
Lovely fish! 👌 Buzzing watching the video as I've just sent of for a clyde estuary permit and bought a new fly set up for it! I've never fished the area , just wondering ware best to park the car and is incoming tide best? I'm going to spend a good bit of time there this year so hopefully figure the place out myself. 😎
That’s awesome mate, it really depends where you want to fish mate, I fish between Dumbarton and Garelochead, and the sea trout fishing is brilliant near enough everywhere, and for the tide, I like to get get down 2 hours before low tide and then fish the tide all the way up, seems to be very productive at a incoming tide, however I’ve caught them at many states of tide, personal preference I think, hope this helps mate 🎣😀
@@JAaurora2419Can’t tell if you are on the wind up buddy. LLAIA season opens 11th February - 31st October. Can assure you we are fishing in season for these sea trout… maybe you are getting mixed up with brown trout season which is March 15th all over Scotland…
