This is by far the biggest issue i've had with neca figures! I hardly ever get a figure by them where the legs are actually even! I don't try to fix them though cause from my experience hip joints break easier then all the other joints on neca! As long as I can finesse them to stand I just leave well enough alone! lol
Oh my gosh this trick was just what I needed ...after receiving my Roy Burns figure I noticed that the legs had not the same length and I was so so so disappointed... I was just going to return it to the store and probably get another one if the product was refundable, but after watching this video .... wow wow wow wow... I have my own Roy Burns figure standing and that is amazing, thank you so much buddy...
Ironically, I usually end up with the opposite problem when I get new NECA figures. Usually it's something I can deal with, but sometimes it get's bad. At one point, I had to ask NECA's customer service to send me a new pair of legs for a Shredder figure from a 2-pack I had purchased at my local Target. The figure was far to defective for nail polish. It couldn't stay upright, despite having stand. I'm just glad they were able to send me a new pair of legs.
*Toys are meant to be played with anyways! I always have been pushing the hip joint up with my Terminator figures and I was happy to discover this video that I was doing it correctly. Now, is the heat still necessary? Seems to work for me fine, I always thought it was that.. "diaper" piece between the legs that was the issue.*
I have a NECA Ultimate Guardian Predator with a right (stuck) hip joint that refuses to kick forward and backwards. I noticed that the peg in the crotch part is bent out of socket which prevents the leg to kick while the left leg works perfectly.

My part 5 Jason Voorhees figure (not Roy Burns) has a loose waist, I’ve already fixed the legs btw. How can I fix the waist without having the legs loosen up and to fix the legs again?
Hey I was wondering, do you have any other techniques for loosening joints? I’m trying to loosen my Neca Roy Burns. The hips are fine, but his right knee joint is completely frozen. And I already tried dipping him in hot water, and the blow dryer technique but nothing I’ve tried so far works. So I just need to know what other techniques there is so I can attempt to loosen his right knee joint is all.
These new predator figures are horrible in the hip deportment. My anniversary city demon and anniversary lost predator are both really bad. The sad part is if you contact neca they just tell you to return it an leave it at that. I've had so many with this issue I'm about done with it. They just package them an ship them off never checking if the legs are moving correctly.

No, they're the same. Both hinges with ratchets.

That is pretty interesting. I wonder if it means fixing torn hip pegs is easier
