      @BidenEpstein2020 What is the Louie Simmons diet lol. It looks like you're actually thinking of the diet Dave got from JM, but not Louie

    • @Gallagher.661
      @Gallagher.661 5 років тому

      @BidenEpstein2020 Yeah that's what I was saying about JM, but it's definitely a monster of a diet. I did the pizza part for a while and it was actually delicious with the olive oil lol

    My day starts with breakfast and prepping for the gym, usually a table talk, jocko, or neversate, video while I eat breakfast. This is phenomenal.

      That must've been one hell of a breakfast.

      You eat breakfast for 3.5 hours?

    • @gmack3739
      @gmack3739 3 роки тому +4

      I only listen to it while doing that stuff. Usually takes me a few days along with my drive to and from work to finish one. Believe me, I wish I had 3.5 hours allotted just for breakfast lol

    I really appreciated the in-depth perspective about the struggle for work-life balance. I took the plunge and began working my own startups after losing my job in 2020 and have had a lot of figuring out to do. This made me feel less alone. Thanks Dave and Brian - learned a lot from both of you and your content over the years and wish you continued success.

    If theres anything Brian teaches me is being 100% humble, open, and submitting to those who are even 1% better than him anyway. Im taking notes on his qualities than the discussion. Dude shows me how much an arrogant, closed minded, lazy prick I really am.

    In Breaking Dr John, Dave said that he doesn't believe in staying at the same weight as sets go on. Interesting to hear why at 3:03:08 He has to unleash his inner demons to lift heavy, and it sounds like once that pandora's box is opened, those demons snowball and either get delt with using heavier and heavier weights or they consume. I'm still too green to really understand, but I had a deadlift set recently where afterwards I unconsciously elbow checked the hell out of a punching bag next to the rack. Was weird. Broke me out of my post-lift stupor because I'm the least violent guy you'll meet, but I had to get a little violent to get the weight up.
