I was offered $700.00 for my Walther P99 40 cal Mods were trigger reworked to 4.5 lbs. Stainless Steel recoil spring, It's 100% all Walther no S&W parts. Blade style rear sites Should I let her go ? Plus it's a First Gen
All Generations have it, they also introduced models that are double action only and something called Quick Action which I'm not fully sure what it is.
@@servicerifle16 The QA (Quick Action) is more like a modern striker setup with consistent trigger pull first to last. I don't have one but remember reading about it. They are not produced anymore I'm aware of in favor of the AS model and PPQs, which actually the PPQ line could be seen as an "evolution" of the QA model.
In my opinion, the P99 is still a beautiful pistol
Nice video. To my surprise I really like the OD green on the P99. Great pistols deserving of more recognition.
I PUT IRON NIGHT SIGHTS ON MINE. IT IS VERY ACCURITE. I REALLY LIKE IT.
I own a p99 in 9mm, it is my edc and has be for years. I love it. I carry my arex Rex zero 1 in the winter months.
Nice p99’s. The HK LEM trigger is identical to the original p99 trigger btw

That's more than current stock P99s new, I'd say yes if you're planning to sell it off.
You could get $800-$900 on gunbroker right now for it.
Is the Gen 1 the only P99 with that single-action/double-action feature, or do subsequent generations have it as well?

I have that exact OD 9mm first gen.. too bad the large back strap is crumbling
YOU CAN ORDER A NEW BACKSTRAP FOR IT. I DID.
Would you sell either
Hi! will you have a backstrap that you sell me?
Unfortunately no, I'm actually trying to find a small backstrap for my .40 P99. I haven't had any luck finding one.
@@servicerifle16 try Earl's
@@laurineil-morin3792 I actually did but his site wouldn't accept orders. I ended up getting a small backstrap off ebay.
don’t know if you’ll see this but the replacement on walthers website fits the 1st gen. Just replaced mine
How about a gen1 p99 for 490$ that a good deal?
Pretty good depending on condition. The .40s seem to go for around that while the 9mms are over $1000 now for most of what I've seen.
@@servicerifle16 why are 9mm over that price? I got a hk vp70 now there over 1000$ bucks now and i got that for 500$
@@kevinthorn9672 9mm P99s are more desirable because *most* people don't like .40S&W and because James Bond carried a 9mm P99.
@@servicerifle16 damn really but 40 has more stoppn power lol
@@kevinthorn9672 🤷♂️
To be honest I find .40 to be unpleasant to shoot except out of a full size USP40.
